Click here to download SWM_MapExplorer (9MB) SWM_MapExplorer is a Line of Sight tool for Star Wars Miniatures that is based on MapExplorer, written for DDM by Christoph Breitkopf. The program is written in Java and offers several options for checking available LOS. SWM_MapExplorer shown with and without the map image loaded Simply clicking on a square (indicated by the orange circle in the upper right corner) displays all squares that you have LOS to (provided all doors are opened) as shown below (indicated by the green eye in each available square). SWM_MapExplorer shown with and without the map image loaded, indicating available LOS Simply extract SWM_MapExplorer into a directory of your choice (i.e. c:\SWM_MapExplorer for Windows or ~/SWM_MapExplorer for Mac or Linux) and, if you are using Windows, run MapExplorer.bat to use it. If you are running Mac or Linux, simply run the executable mapexplorer file found in your newly created folder (i.e. in Linux, type sh ~/SWM_MapExplorer/mapexplorer). List of currently included maps: Cloud City Crystal Caves of Ilum Coruscant Death Star Echo Base Freight Transit Station Geonosis Sith Hangar Grand Plaza Mos Eisley Muun Commerce Plaza Rancor Pit Rattatak Arena Ravaged Base Starship Taris Undercity Teth Monastery The Lost Temple Throne Room Yavin 4 Massassi Temple Including new maps is a simple as creating a text file and supplying the appropriate image. Maps are being included by the community all of the time and any maps that you wish to include can be added by yourself or others with very little difficulty. |

Pretty sure I tried it on my Mac at home when it first came available for SWM. I might be confused though. Maybe you don't have the right version/settings for Java on your computer perhaps? |
