It's because the forums are being fully merged with gleemax.

Also, anyone like me who never bothered to merge their wizards account into gleemax, can't even begin the process to relogin until Friday.

EDIT: Ah you can merge your account by saying yo forgot your password. In any case, I still think the whole gleemax thing is stupid as hell.

I'm having trouble as well. There'll be less people asking about the preview, at least, lol...

I can't even remember what e-mail address I originally used when I first signed up. I hope when the whole merging thing is back up and running I can actually do that. I don't want to have to make up another account...

It's been a mess all day.

There also seem to be new issues. Editing a post just sits on the edit screen forever even though it already saved your edits (when the little spinny cursor stops, BTW, from experience.)

Why the heck does NONE of my hyperlinks to a specific post work. It first warps me to the default page and thanks me for logging in. *THEN* my link works (until I close Firefox, and it semi forgets that I have already logged in and I must first go to the home page again)... ANNOYANCE!

Gripe about gleemax as a whole - where is the accountability of peer edits. At least moderators *work* for Wizards so they have to maintain some professional behavior... peer edits, yeah.

It is hit and miss for me. I agree that the gleemax thing is stupid. I don't want to go through ten clicks just to get to the boards.

Enough already.
You and I both know you are not going to get an honest, accurate answer to this here, so why do you persist in bringing it up? If you really want to know more, then break down and go to the Gleemax board where this topic continues to be discussed AT LENGTH.

WotC is NOT just going to hand over editorial ability to volunteers without some sort of accountability system in place. Even if that had been the plan originally (which I'm sure it wasn't), there's been so much outcry (most of it from those who were picked as volunteers in the first round) to make sure there are accountability standards in place before handing over edit abilities that it couldn't be ignored.

(BTW, this has nothing to do with the topic at hand.)
