I assure you, if my secondary source was not someone who I trusted completely, I would completely understand your arguements, and would probably be looking at the list with a rare eye. Sadly, my source is only able to confirm at this point.

Good point about the Hoth heavy theme and the upcoming Hoth Battle Set. Makes a lot of sense.

I am fairly certain Luke's Speeder is going to be able to trip Huges. Rob was questioned on why the Snowspeeders couldn't trip the AT-AT, he mentioned it was something that should be rare, like on Luke's. While a bit sad with no Seps, I still eagerly await to see what else this set brings to the game.

Good enough for me, time to wait and see.

I don't doubt Sithborg at all, that he has received confirmation from two sources, his reputation is spotless. And billiv vouching for him would seal it otherwise, but it is hard to reconcile the poster being out there, so many people being aware of it and screaming to see it, and nothing has been posted yet.

Just a little hard to accept is all, no insults intended.

So you're surprised the guy who saw the poster didn't use his Sunday to take his camera (assuming he has a digital camera) back to where ever he saw the poster?

I was sceptical when he first posted without picture proof, but with whats been added by others I'm willing to believe what he posted is reasonably accurate and the fact that he didn't rush right out to get a picture just means he might have had something more important to do.

I'm still a bit skeptic here... I wanna see a scan. But it does look likely... (here's hoping Darth Revan will kick a**)

I doubt the Dumpster story personally. Which means he saw the poster in another way that he cannot reveal. Can you not imagine that he has no way to really get a photo of it - especially if it could mean someone's job or something like that (all speculation on my part of course).

I am sure if he could scan it he would have. It wont matter how many of us scream for it though, as to whether or not he can really do it.

The Hoth pieces in this set actual match up with the Hoth Battle Pack very well. The Battle Pack is designed to be sold at Target stores, where people who do not play the miniatures game will see it. If they purchase that pack, and then they see that the Force Unleashed set has pieces form the upcoming video game, AND pieces that would mesh well with the Hoth pack they just bought....it's actually a pretty good marketing strategy.

I don't buy this. People who don't play SWM will buy the (expensive) Hoth Battle Pack and then buy a couple of TFU boosters to get more Hoth pieces? Will there be Hoth booster art for TFU or just Hoth pieces on the side of the box? How would they know? Do they actually have to put in some extra Hoth stuff to sell TFU? It's Star Wars -- it will sell anyway.

And no insults intended here either. In the end you're probably right (weren't we told earlier that 2007 should be a year of OT and 2008 a year of EU?). I just hoped for more TFU and Dark Times and less OT and A&E2. :(

Very true, I will have to practice patience, something I'm not really good at when it comes to new sets. :)

I don't think its so much that they think FU won't sell without some Hoth stuff added in. I think its just that they think it will sell better with the Hoth stuff. Not everyone automaticly buys X number of cases of each new set. Some people are going to look at it as a set based around some game they've (obviously) never played and are going to need something else to get them interested. FU having pieces that will go very nicely with the Hoth pack is a part of that.

Kind of a contridiction there. You seem to be complaining that 2007 was supposed to OT and 2008 was supposed to be EU stuff then you complain that the last set in 2007 has too much OT stuff and not enough EU stuff.

No, no. I meant that you (all you posting here) are probably right about TFU being a rather OT heavy set, just as we were told several months ago (or was it even this year?) on the WotC forums. 2007 was supposed to be a year of OT and I guess I just forgot that now when it's all about TFU. I didn't expect another set with lots of Lukes and Hans.

I just get the feeling that the Force Unleashed stuff was just rather force in relatively late in the production cycle.

Very cool... love all the Hoth stuff, and the new walkers too.

I think it's good business sense to sell a Hoth battle pack at the same time as the AT-AT reprint, and a bunch of good Hoth stuff in TFU.
