All:

This version will be my last.

As most of you probably already know, I wrote this (at least the original version) for my sons. It was never intended to take on the life it did. But honestly it's been quite a ride and I've made some good "virtual" friends. I sincerely appreciate the support (of all types) that I've gotten over the years but the contraints on my time coupled with the fact that I'm frankly burned out are my reasons.

I'm not bailing on the program entirely. I'm adding hooks that will allow a couple of volunteers to continue forward with limited functionality.

I suspect it'll take me another month to finish the code and get it tested. At that time the proper people will let you know how and what to do.

I'll not be leaving entirely as I've told the volunteers. I'll still be around to make sure things go smoothly.

Chuck

This saddens me a great deal, Chuck, but I knew it would be coming. Your contributions to the community have been so amazing, and I tell you thank you from the bottom of my heart. Hearing that you will have people who can still update is the greatest information you can bring to us.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Well, good luck my friend. You have always been great toward this community. Now we just need to wait until your sons have sons and then we can keep this going :P

Thanks for all the hard work.

Thank you SO much for all your hard work and effort on this over the years, Chuck.

If there is anything I can do to help continue to update this program over the coming years, please let me know. I'm not sure what you've been using to program it up till now, but I have some experience with Fortran and HTML, and a few other minor experiences in programming, so I'm sure I could learn whatever it is you're using. If you have other more knowledgeable people set up to carry it forward, then great. Otherwise, I'm definitely willing to try and rise to the challenge. ;)

I know you've discussed before why you were thinking of leaving, but it still sucks to see you go. The MiniManager has become an integral part of playing miniatures for me, and I'm glad you've decided to pass it on to others to work on. It won't be the same, nothing can be the same as your expertise ;) Either way, thanks for sticking around as long as you could and thanks for making this fantastic program ^_^

I only started using MiniManager a couple of sets back when I finally upgraded my PC. It really is a great program.

Hope you stick around the SWM community.

It's no secret that MiniManger has been a vital component of this game over the years.

I sincerely appreciate everything that you've done since the inception of Star Wars miniatures. It means even more to me that you did it for your sons, but continued to do it even after they stopped playing.

You've probably had the biggest impact out of any of us on this game and on the community. You'll be missed.

I'm sorry to hear you're retiring Chuck. I am one of many who have found your program to be helpful and fun. Also want to say a big thank you to whoever is going to be taking up the mantle of updating the minimanager.

Thanks you so much for creating Minimanager! I'd be half the player I am now without it. I'm sorry you're leaving, but I hope you'll continue to stop by.

You will be sorely missed. I enjoy using Minimanager, as do many others, and I can't imagine the time and effort it took to get it up and running. We all appreciate it, and we hope the best for you and yours for the future. I'm glad that others are taking up the mantle, but they can only succeed because of your hard work in laying the foundation.

Thank you, and may the Force be with you :D

Thank you for your efforts Chuck. I think I speak for most here when I say that you made tracking collections and creating squads much easier!

Whikle I am sad to see you go (at least as far as SWMiniManager) I can understand how this kind of project can be overwhelming.

I've greatly enjoyed using your program and hope it continues in some form.

perhaps adding a feature that allows users to enter new sets themselves?
