Post subject:  Rebels and Imperials Case pulls
So I saw someone on eBay selling Rebels and Imperials cases for $25 each. I'd stayed away from the set before, but that price seemed too good to pass up--especially since I still needed 3 of the 5 Very Rares that were reprinted in the set.

I opened the first case and waded through the mounds of Commons, Uncommons and crap Rares until the second-to-last pack yielded an Emperor Palpatine. He was one of the two Very Rares I didn't need, but he's definitely a good fig, and figured I could sell him or something.

About halfway through the second case, I pulled Boba Fett. Arguably the best (most valuable) piece in the set, but he was the other VR I didn't need. Oh well, more good trade/eBay fodder.

The thought occurred to me that I could leave the rest of the packs unopened and trying to sell them, since I already pulled the VR for the case, but that's too dishonest for me. Also, it's hard to have a stack of opened boosters in your possession and not open them.

In this case, I'm glad I did, because I pulled a second Emperor Palpatine (what are the chances?). Anyway, moral of the story is that if you can find Rebels and Imperials cases for cheap, they might be worth the money.

Now I'm going to go ahead and collect the rest of the set, since I only need like 6 more and I already have two of the most expensive VRs. Anybody have any to trade?

P.S. My favorite part of the reprints in Rebels and Imperials is the flavor text on the old cards.

lol those are the two ones i wanted in the set but ive bought a few packs but only got commons and uncommons

I wouldn't be able to do that either...it would bother me that I knowingly cheated someone of VR's.

Agreed...it's so hard to have unopened boosters laying around and not open them. I bought my brother a few boosters last Christmas and had about 3 weeks to go before seeing him...it was killing me not knowing what was in them. The first booster he opens was Aayla Secura...I needed that one for my CS set at the time and couldn't believe it was sitting in my house the entire time in an unopened booster. I was still happy he pulled her...as he needed her as well...but still. :x
