It's got to be a tough situation for the stores. Money is tight for a lot of people the world over nowadays - fuel prices in the UK are leaving me broke. And the one thing people cut back on are luxury goods, of which Star Wars minis is one. That leaves the stores with a dilemma, try and sell less at a higher price or hope to sell more at a lower price. I wouldn't want to be the one to make that gamble.

Without a doubt the global/fuel situation is going to start really squeezing a lot of people. Expensive pieces of plastic are going to be the first thing cut from a lot o budgets if they haven't already been.

At least Clone Wars will only be 40 pieces 8)

I think you guys missed the point. Boosters aren't going to go up, but singles will. The downside of having a good release schedule like we do is that there is less time to do reprints. I really don't care, but I am loathe for the reprint fights to start up again...

I do laugh at those dreaming of a round A&E reprint though...

Which sets are "reprints" right now?
Can someone just explain what a "reprint" is?
Every set is a reprint, you'd never know what minis came off the "1st press", and they're not numbered
in terms of units produced so... :? I know there's a finite amount of minis made per set, but how do we
know when production of a particular set stops?

I just bought the few pieces from LotF I wanted, plus generics from older sets.

I was thinking about doing it, and dnemiller's info pushed me to do it quickly.

Thank you, dnemiller.

Singles prices on older sets have been going steadily down for a few years... IMO due to older minis becoming functionally obsolete, which drove down demand, combined with steady supply due to reprints.

Demand for older sets will mostly continue to fall, so when supply starts to shrink, I think we will see prices stabilize... not necessarily go up. Our online singles store sponsors may raise their prices, but there's no guarantee they will get those prices... if Auggie's used minis store becomes a success, he may add some downward pressure to OOP mini prices.

I won't be raising my prices until I see higher prices reflected in the online stores' buy lists.

There's a significant difference between item worth and item value.

Item value is what someone believes he or she should charge; item worth is what he or she actually gets from a buyer.

A lot of the time, item value prohibits sales IMO because it is often over-inflated.

Not saying that will be the case with SWM singles, but it is the rule of thumb.
