OK here is the back story for my question:

Where I live there are two other venues that have DCI SWM events. One 50 miles west and the other 50 miles east.

At the begining of April (on a Monday) I checked the DCI events page (like I do every few days) and I saw that there had been an event over the weekend at the venue east of me. I thought it was odd that it wasnt on the events page untill after the event had passed.

I then emailed the tournament director at the addy provided and asked if I could be notifed about the next DCI event so I could attend. Also using Yahoo and the address provided on DCI's page I found the store and there web page, and I checked it for events to be announced.

Now this Sunday I got on the DCI events page and again I see that the day before there was a SWM event at that same store! There had been no announcement prior to that on DCI's page or on the store page about a DCI event. Also the tournament director has yet to reply to any of the emails I have sent requesting information on DCI events at their location.

So on to my question:

Does anyone know why the events are not showing up for that location untill after the date has passed? There are other locations and future events posted, but not for that location.

Does a tournament director have to make it public that they are having an event? That way someone isnt just winning a bunch of "secret" DCI games?

Its kind of annoying because I would have gone to both events.

Any thoughts?

yeah I emailed the orgainizer again today and requested info for the next event. This is only strike 2 in my opinion but I just went back and looked and this is the third event since April 12th at that store.

The person who appears to be winning the events is 6th in the state now.

The store is too far away for me to just casually hang out in, but these events are robbing me of points I could be accumulating.

I hope I hear back from the guy, before another "mystery" event pops up.

so I got on my computer last night around 10 pm and this is what I saw in my inbox!!!!



I thought this is kinda short notice, but why not. I am going to attempt to make it out there in a few hours and check out the opposition.

The downside is I havent really playtested a 200 squad and I have no idea what I will be up against. Oh well I think I am going with a "triple threat" NR squad. I like the feel of that. And I was playing a variant of fingers last week.
