Yeah so I just got back from my local comic shop where I was picking up my Dark Horse titles for the month.

When I was checking out the clerk handed me a Clone Trooper. He said they where the promo for Free Comic Book day.

Did anyone else know about this??? The pics are kinda blurry but here he is.....





Am I the only one that didnt know about this?

I thought there were actually 3 different old minis they were giving away today. Nothing to get excited about at any rate. Isn't the concept of "free day" to get new people interested in things they've never tried before. I don't think we win many converts with these crap promos.

I am always excited to get free stuff.

Anyone who has a copy of that mini and doesn't want it can send it to me.

Free Comic Book Day?

Yeah every year some comic book stores give out free comics to people who fufill certain requirements. Some people get either free comics or in this case miniatures. Depending on how far they go. Eg.Dressing up as a marvel superhero and getting some marvel comic books for free.

I got back from a local comic book store a few minutes ago. They gave out their promos "within the first hour". And their supply of comic books was sparse and disappointing. I guess next year I'll come back earlier and get some better ones.

My son and I got the ROTS Clone Trooper... and also picked up the Iron Man Promo. We also called two other comic stores in the area and neither had any SWM Promos. Also... we were a little disappointed that there were no free Star Wars comics this year... ya can't have enough Star Wars comics.

Ive never heard of a 'requirement' for getting your free comics....you just go in and get ones from the selection of free ones.

We had one of the Quarrens and another mini that i already had a 100 of. No troopers this year.
