I think they are still recovering from the con season. I would expect something 4Q07.

I as well wouldnt expect anything from WotC anytime soon. But I think WotC_Erik's map thread suggests they are looking at competitive gaming seriously now for SWMs. So I think we passed :)

Otherwise, WotC has a history of not announcing anything like Qualifyers until they are for sure, and scheduled. I wouldnt expect anything until late this year, or even spring next year.

That would be pretty cool... won't hold my breath, but it really would be cool :)

Personally, I would love for them to use the old Decipher Region maps for regionals. I loved being Corellia.

That would be really great if they did put these in place.

Some people were talking about a 150 and 200 championship (just saying that it might be cool, not that they were planning one or anything), maybe they could go ahead and have two and make one open and the other an event you need to qualify for.

I would also like to see a longer 200 point tournament. Whether it's a 'Championship' or not I don't really care one way or the other. But I think it would be fun to play more than just 4 games of 200 points over the weekend.

Here's to hoping that ACME Comics or Yotta Quest here in Cincy can land one of the qualifiers. Both are premiere stores. ACME has had numerous official SWM Release Tourneys, and Yotta Quest was a location for several Dreamblade tournaments, and I think perhaps even one of the DB 10K tourneys. We'll see!
