Now since I wanted a case so badly, and no freakin' way I could. No money, really sucks. So I decided to sell some minis to a site (which will remain UN-named.).
I'm selling
Bane (friend has 1 I can barrow if needed.)
Boba BH (It's me, if you know me, you know why.)
Krayt (friend has 1 I can use if needed.)
Aayla (don't even care about)
Asajj (don't even care bout)
Sidious DLOTS (Seps, crappy.)
Now for the site's sake, I won't give the individual prices, but here's the rounded total. About $115. Oh I know how bad it is a rip-off. But I did what I needed to.
Now, I'm wondering if any of you have done something you knew was dumb, in order to get a mini/minis?

When SWCCG Hoth set came out I was in like 7-8th grade. I went to my LGS and bought like 4 packs. I pulled Comander Luke, Rogue 1, and one of the Blizzard Walkers. I wanted more pack's so badly that I traded those rares to the LGS for like another 5 packs.

Needless to say I pulled nothing the LGS put them on sale for like $15-$25 a piece and I never pulled those cards for a long time. After that I said I would never sell my Cards (or minis) to a store unless I have multiples.

It seems whenever you get rid of something it will come back to bite you later.

I noticed you are a BFBH hater, but surely there will be some time down the road when you want to use him. I have been looking for one for a while and I bet I would have given you a better price :P

Well, the dumbest thing I do is pay over the odds, especially to get minis quickly. The single most expensive mini I bought was Darth Maul (CS) for £26 ($50) + P&P

I've managed to put the brakes on myself today from buying some Dungeon of Dread DDM - I want the Young Red Dragon, and I know the price will sky rocket, but I don't even play DDM I only use them for the occasionaly RPG.

I paid over $50 for Darth Maul....then a reprint came out and he fell below $30. Stupid move on my part.....

I traded my CS Windu for Maul. A couple months later the reprint hit and I paid $10 for a replacement Windu.

I don't think that's dumb at all, every single one of the tradebacks you made you have a plan B for. Thus, they are worth, basically, zero to *you*. Hopefully you get some sweet pulls out of the case, and that experience itself is worth something, though the "net value" of your collection might go down.

I look at it this way - will you be playing those figs enough in the next 2 years to warrant the 115 dollar "rent" that you would've paid by NOT selling them?

I definately think a case of this set is worth it. I am only 4 figs away from an entire set from 1 case and 2 release events and trading. The problem now is my LGS is doing another sealed for the 11th and I am going great, what are the chances I am only going to see people I already have? We'll have to wait and see.

This belongs in the "What are some of the best deals you've pulled for SWM?" thread :)

Could be worse. I picked up a factory sealed case and managed to get a double rare: Deeliah Blue.

I did not even know that was possible!

I can definitely feel your pain on the 'trade then pull' stuff. It happens a lot to me, and I do mean a lot. In the last week, I worked out 3 different trades to get 3 VR that I was missing. Then between Wed and Sun I bought 6 boosters and of course got the 3 VR I had worked out trades for. While it was nice to have 5 of 6 boosters be VR, it is still annoying to get screwed like that...

That's pretty harsh; like you said though....at least they were VR.
