I found this here where some people are posting that they got their free booster of A&E from the survey. It doesn't say where they are from, so tough to tell what areas got theirs.

Its amazing how crazy people get over something free - even if its worth about $10. Who really cares?

It's because people feel entitled to their booster because they filled out a survey. I filled it out gladly to give WotC some feedback so that they could make the future products better. If/when I ever get anything for is completely secondary and not necessary.

It's like getting a free scratch-off lottery ticket. Doesn't cost much, but there could be something wonderful under that silver coating or inside that magic booster.

Likewise, I just wanted to fill out the survey. Don't know if I'll get a booster, won't be heart-broken if I missed the cutoff. I'm assuming I won't get anything and maybe will be surprised one day.

I did it early, but haven't gotten anything. *disappointment mounts*

I remember doing a survey last year that asked some good questions and it looks like the responses were taken into consideration for the game. That's all the gift I need

I won't be upset if I get a booster from this latest survey though.....

I wonder if WOTC sent the invite to Magic or D&D customers first as it seems that some of the people receiving these aren't SW fans. I remember I got the email after it had been posted on WOTC's forums for a few days, and I don't recall anyone on these boards or the Wizards boards having received one yet. CONSPIRACY!!! It's Sony all over again!!

Well, I know I got the email shortly before I noticed anyone posting about it anywhere. I got it through my subscription to Hyperspace on the starwars.com site. But it's quite likely that it was sent out to a lot of others as well.

Have to agree with punxnbutter though. I'm happy to see some of the suggestions from past surveys being incorporated already, and it seems that WOTC is listening to those surveys to some degree.

Well, the link I posted is from a site dedicated to free stuff, so my guess is someone posted the survey around the same time the link became public on the forums. Apparently there are a lot of people who sign up for free stuff just for the sake of doing it. Doesn't do anything for me, but hey who am I to judge, I pay money for little platic dudes for sci-fi adventures.

I am pretty indifferent on the booster deal as I can't think of anything I would be excited to open from that set. I have seen this in magic where sometimes it is better to have the unopened booster for value then actually opening it to find out you don't even have $2.00 worth of crap. Minis is a lot different because once you have one unique you are pretty much done, where as magic, even if you have a legend you still want at least 4 of them normally.

Actually, the site is pretty cool.

And I hope that most of the people that get the free boosters play the game.

Even if a couple of non-players get a booster maybe, just maybe they'll pick up another. Although the answers to the survey will be junk though if most of the responses came from people just looking for free stuff This may be the undoing of SWM
