lol. Dude, I'm very flattered that you want an Autographed, certified map pack.

Theres toilet paper more valuble than these maps

Actually, bootlegged merchandise, and imitiation Star wars stuff has been picking up alot of momentum lately, probably due to market oversaturation of licensed colloctibles.

Honestly I was planning on numbering the maps sets and sigining each pack with.

Signed stuff doesn't seem to be that much in vogue anymore. I just picked up an autographed copy of Sandworms of Dune, it was on sale and cost the same as the non-autographed one. Maybe it's just Kevin J. Anderson that nobody likes anymore.

Jedicartographer: I'd be wary about signing these things. In the event WotC/LFL gets ticked off at this project, you don't want the evidence running around out there with your signature.

JC, You could contact WotC and make sure that there would be no license or copyright infringement with them or LFL. I don't think LFL would have a problem with it unless you are making a profit from the sales of unlicensed products. Just to cover yourself from any kind of legal action.

I'm gonna see if I can get our two LGS's to each order a map pack from you.

If you go the way CafePress does, I think simply calling them "Game Maps" or something along those lines, rather than "Star Wars Miniatures Maps" would be enough to cover you legally. Provided there are no copyrighted images used in the maps.

BTW, I will be ordering one (possibly two) pack from you, JC.

Thank you for the legal concerns, but everything is kosher so far, there hasn't been any licnse infringments. This stuff has been discussed extensively, and clear cut parameters have been established.

Check Epic Miniatures throughout the day, as the ordering link will be going up sometime today.

Remember as soon as I sell 100 map packs, We can get the thing prinited up. If I fall short, I'll put up some money, as well as a few others who have offered.

Its exciting that this is coming together, I feel like alot of us really pulled together to make this happen, so Thanks to all of you!

And if you like this maps pack, just wait until you see the second one.

Cool I'm excited about this. Do we have pics of all 6 maps somewhere?

Looks like Epic has a link up:
http://www.epicminiatures.com/Store/ind ... cts_id=649

Is this the offical "go" for pre order? If so I'll start spreading the word to my local gaming group.
Ty

Maybe a mod can sticky the link in an announcemnet or something so people don't have to find it somewhere in this thread?

I am sure that whenever all the details are finalized, that someone from Epic Minis will post about it in their thread. We'll make sure it's easily noticeable.

The map packs are up on the site.

Just an FYI pay close attention to the ordering instructions as you are actually going to be paying JC directly. if you do make a mistake and send the money to us. no problem we will forward it and your order to JC.

I cannot make every image of the every map appear. I have 2 up and will try to figure out how I can post the other four images for you to see. Unless JC want to post them here. This is a great deal as the $35 includes your shipping. basically $5 a map if you allow for shipping hard to beat that deal

I did this. I'm glad to hear he'll get the money still.

If you use the PayPal checkout method, it'll take you to a screen that has Epic Miniatures getting paid. I missed it.

Thanks Epic and JC!

I'll go ahead and Post a sticky, if it's ok with my fellow mods.

Looks like Dean, Brian Wekert(Soggybottomboy) and A fella named Dave Battey were the first 3 buyers!.

As a bonus the first 10 customers get a month of free pickled herrings.

Oh snap!! I better go order then! :P

Seriously though, I will definitely be picking one up, but it might not be till the beginning of April. With wanting to pre-order at least some stuff for LOTF, my budget for SWMs doesn't quite have enough to dish out for the maps. But 1 is 100% sold to me. Need me to put a $5 deposit on it? :P

When I went to checkout through Paypal, it put Epic Miniatures up as the recipient and I had no option to change it. What did you guys do to be sure the payment goes directly to JC? I saw the part about which address to post the payment to, but not where to insert that address. I've checked out with Paypal many times before, but seem to be getting screens that look different and am having a mental block. lol

... and my order is in, too (direct to Jedicartographer@yahoo.com through Paypal). $35 for now, I imagine I'll need to top up a bit more for international shipping when the time comes.

Do I get the herrings? :)

for subject line put map pack..... if your address is verified then it will be sent to JC

OK, thanks - got a set ordered. I wasn't sure if I had to use the Epic Miniatures checkout. Sending money directly is even easier.
