Has anybody else pre-ordered Legacy sets/cases? The stated release date was close enough to my birthday that I conned the wife into a minis Bday present. I hope the estimated March 7th is the true date.

I know a few of the site's sponsors are taking orders........

Pretty sure the release date is the 28th. I was hoping the 7th was it too since that's a week before my birthday and I was hoping for some birthday minis myself.

For preorders I have a local place that I usually get a case from. Assuming his price is still reasonable for LOTF I'll be getting one case from him. I also order another usually even cheaper case online, but the online place I order from hasn't started thier pre-orders yet. They send out thier weekly product emails on Fridays so I've been checking that each week. Once I know how much it will cost me online I'll see how close I can get offline.

I think I have? Pretty sure I told my LGS I wanted two cases of Legacy. I'll see him in about 30 minutes, I'll mention it :)

Yeah, most online places seem to still have plenty in stock for pre-ordering. Our LGS is asking us to have our pre-orders in sometime during the next week or so.

I got lazy and decided it's a full set I want to open this time vs. cases. Obviously that is a much better idea with huge sets, but it's also more expensive most of the time.

Yeah I pre-ordered 3 cases around the beginning of the month. The online store I use actually got my TFU to me the day before release, so I'll continue using them in the future.

Not yet. Not sure how many i can afford at the moment. but will most likely have 1 case only this time instead of my normal 3 cases. This is purely for financial reason and nothing else as i truly believe that this set will be the best ever as it focus more on the EU (which is grate for me anyway) :lsfight:

I'm not sure yet where I'll get this set.

My LGS usually has great prices for R/VR singles ($6 for a R and $12 for a VR) at release day, before the "true market value" reveals itself. With the TFU release I got Revan and Loda for $12 each! I'll likely end up buying a case there, and then splurging to get all the singles that I need after the case. But we'll have to see....

However, with the high amount of VRs (14) in this set, part of me is considering the benefits of buying a complete set right from the get-go. I did that for A&E and I was very happy with it. Most of my gaming is on Vassal anyway, so I'm not in a massive hurry to get the set...but I WILL complete it, because this looks like one of the best sets to date!

Coolstuffinc has complete sets for $320, plus shipping; that seems a bit high to me. :(

I went in today and asked my LGS what 4 cases of LotF would cost me... and he told me $560! And that was with a discount because he knows me and I'd be buying so many!

What are the rest of you getting from your LGSes? Also I went over to Miniature Market and didn't see that they were taking pre-orders yet, did I just miss something or are they not yet taking them yet?

I can get 4 cases at Coolstuffinc.com for $425 shipping included with the small discount I built up there. The one problem with Coolstuff is that I normally have to wait until the following tuesday or wednesday to get the cases because they don't ship until release day. I'd be very interested in anyone else's suggestions of where I can get cases for roughly that amount. I think $560 is a bit much, or I'd gladly be buying from the local store.

I'd rather support our sponsors here over coolstuff if I can get a price that makes financial sense.

My LGS offers a 25% discount, so that adds up to a final price right around $140 a case, which would be $560 for 4 cases like you said.

As I did with TFU, I will probably order from Miniature Market. The two cases I ordered from them came the day BEFORE release. On Thursday. :D

I did see the miniature market pre-orders, I must have just overlooked it. I'd only be spending $15 more to order from them, so I will probably use them, especially if they ship early as you said.

Where do you live in comparison to them? I doubt I'd get the cases the day before since I live in Maine, and everything gets here later than elsewhere.

I ordered 4 cases of A&E from Coolstuff who is based in Florida, and I got it on the following tuesday after release. I doubt anything coming from Missouri will get to me any sooner.

Oooh, I don't know. that could be part of it. I live in Cincinnati, OH, which isn't too far away. Yeah, it might not make much difference for you in Maine.

This is who I use and alluded to above. I've been very happy with them so far, free shipping is awesome and, like i said, got my cases a day before the official release.

It's being reported again that the set comes out 3/7.

I wish they could pick one day...

I believe right now he is looking at it being $109 per case

Does that include shipping?

And who is the new sponsor?

I'm tittilated.

I'm planning to head down to my local place Sunday. For A&E he did cases for $10 per booster which while being just slightly higher than my online place would still be low enough for me to get at least one of my cases there so I can support the store and get to open a case on the day of release. In addition to the case pre-order I'll be trying to either pick-up a set poster/map if he has them. If he doesn't then I'll let him know i want one of them and hopefully there will be one to pick up when I get my case.

Online place I'll be checking this week's email newsletter to see if pre-orders are being done yet. If they aren't on the list yet I'll be emailing to ask when they're starting because after seeing the set list I can't wait to get my order squared away.

EDIT: Checked the online place and pre-sells are up and pretty cheap.
