Well I was doing some looking around on the target website and it says (not sure if this has already been confirmed) that the KOTOR set is going to be a huge set, With an August release date.

I think that was already confirmed, well... I knew KOTOR was going to be Huge, so I got that either from here or WOTC forums.

I think there is still some confusion on whether it will be Huge or not. Price doesn't match up on multiple sites, along with a more reputable source saying their info said it was normal. Considering we are still 7 months away, no need to jump the gun.

KotR doesn't warrant a huge set We already have the TTD and BWD. What else is there?

Im not sure but its listed on Targets website as a huge set... I realize this may be an error however.

Nothing warrants a Huge set except for the demands of WOTC bank balance

The Basilisk as seen in KotOR is a different design from the TotJ version we already have; if KotOR really is a Huge set, I'd expect to see the different version appear.

That said, I do hope it's not a Huge set.

Damn my addiction to these pieces of plastic. I'll probably still get it even if it is a huge set despite my lack of KotR interest

I am so happy I have found my cure to my plastic addiction and that cure is... VASSAL. I can sit back and play the new minis all I want and just buy the certain ones I want to play in real life. Now if only I would have known this 3 years ago, I could have not spent so very much money on a dust collection.

when is this set set to come out

According to Target, they are getting the set on August 12th. I don't know about the other stores but definitely sometime around the beginning of August.

why is it so cheap on target?

Because they just throw the information in a generic template until the date gets closer. Same reason in the details it shows it has a hardcover book. When the date gets closer and if it is trully a huge set they will change it to 21.99 or 14.99 if it is not a huge.

If you don't want to spend a lot of money collecting this set my advice is go to GenCon and play league and tournies. You're bound to amass a decent collection of KotoR if WotC follows past practices of offering the most recent set on the shelves as prize support (and league kit).

have you heard anything about the legacy set that is coming out, according to target?

I thought the WOTC catalog for the year showed the Release date as August 8, and an MSRP of 14.99? Not 100% sure on that, as it's what I seem to remember hearing 2nd hand or something, but it makes the most sense to me.

Also, Boris is right, a great way to get stuff from the new set is to go to GenCon. Play in the League, do well in some of the other events. Granted, it costs you like $60 to get into the convention center for the weekend, and probably a couple hundred for a hotel, but if you just came and played League all weekend, you'd likely be close to having a complete set, and you'd have played an entire weekend of SWM at the same time. So, even if the cost is about the same, you have a LOT more fun getting all the pieces. I made probably a dozen key trades at GenCon '07 (plus a couple of key pulls from my League and prize boosters). In all of the events this past year on Thursday and Friday, you got at least 1 booster for a prize, as long as you were 3-1 in the current tournament, and the people who went 4-0 got 3 or 4 boosters I think. Can't remember for sure. Suffice to say, that between League and one Sealed event (4 boosters bought there) and placing well in several other things, I think I left GenCon with 13 new boosters.

13 Huge boosters? It may pay off if this set is indeed huge, but if not....I doubt it. Not when I have to hop a plane to get out there

No, they were A&E boosters.

And from everything that's been seen so far, I think it's a pretty safe bet that the KOTOR set is NOT a huge set.
