Point for point which are the best miniatures in the new set? Which minis will make competitive teams at 100 and 150? Which are must have minis? Which are the best common and uncommon minis? Thanks in advance

Well you are going to get answers all over the map.

100/150 DCI meta figs from TFU
The meta is not set. Any number of figs (VR/R) could be "the" squad.

Figs that are not in the meta
Han in carbonite - just too hard to free
Revan - way too many points (for 100 and 150, maybe 200 but I have not seen a good squad)
Rigid huges still can not be played at 100 and 150 (too many maps entrap the rigid huge)

Just about everything else has a good chance to be played.

Figs I recommend you get (might be meta)
Luke, HPU
Kota
Shaak Ti, JM
Juno
K3PO (neat ability)
Loda (very good fig)
Obi, unleashed
2x Rebel on TT (Rauntaun)
Rebel Vanguard
Vader's app redeemed
Adm Ozzel
Vader unleashed
Evo trooper (better than elite storms)
Raxus Prime trooper (better than stormtrooper)
Felucian Storm officer
Vader App unleashed
Gram Ibis
Amanin Scout
Boba Fett, Merc
Caamasi Noble
Felucian on Rancor
Maris Brood (with Kota)
Munn Tactics broker (at 150 and 200)
Mynock (flight)
Proxy (it's fun to play)
Telosian Tank Droid
2x Uggernaut
Ugo boss
Ugo Tech (1 point cheaper than R5)

The only thing I can ensure, no one will have the same list as me. :)

Shaak Ti Jedi Master is a an excellent piece. The only time one of our squads has lost with her was when my Boba BH disintegrated her.

Kazadan is a bit random, but if you get the Reserves he's worth it. Tip is to always play with Recon.

General Kota is a great addition to Rebels. High Defense and great CE.

Felucian Stormtrooper Officer is a big boost to Imperial Troops.

Telosian Tank Droid is a great piece for Seperatists.

Competition? Don't know, I don't play tournaments. I guess the Caamasi Noble will be good for collecting Gambit but I've never played with DCI rules to know what is and isn't bad.

Of the other Common/Uncommon the Amanin Scout is worth it just for the sculpt. His abilities are not bad either. And the Ugnaught Tech, as Engineer said, he's cheaper than R5.

My cousin used him in a squad the other day, along with Quinlan Vos (A&E), Ki-Adi-Mundi, R2, and 3 JWMs. By the end of the game, he had about 5 successful Reserves rolls, and I got slaughtered.

So we swapped squads and played again (we usually do this), and I didn't get a single successful Reserve roll the whole game. I still beat him, mainly because I got some lucky shots in with the JWMs.

Kazdan really is the ultimate gimmick piece that can be really powerful if you're lucky. But then there's some games that just don't work.
