This build's already got four 10s on the Bloomilk squadbuilder. Do you see it as a big new thing in the meta, or do you think it will struggle?

--SkyNobi--
85 Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker
65 Mace Windu, Legacy of the Light Side
15 Dr. Evazan, Galactic Criminal
14 Ponda Baba, Galactic Criminal
9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid
3 Mouse Droid
9 Ugnaught Demolitionist x3
(200pts. 9 activations)

It actually seems to be a pretty solid build for the duo, but I'm not sure how it'll go overall.

Tank against shooters.
Beatstick against melee.

It will take some skill to play to keep enemy shooters away from Mace and enemy melee away from ObiKin. What it might do, though, is push for a balanced meta. Because I think the squad would do pretty well against pure melee (Mace hits hard) or against pure shooters (ObiKin tanks).

Pretty solid squad! Consistent damage output is a bit low (170dmg total), unless you roll crits with Mace cause then that number rises significantly. I wonder if people will combine Obi/Ani with the Republic Elite Commandos like Sev/Fixer/Scorch/Boss to give the squad some stealthy shooters with shields 2 to counter melee and other shooters and a big melee piece in obi/ani to counter shooters. Sheilds 2 can be hard for a jedi to cut through, so i kinda view the ERC's as a bit of a melee deterrent as well as really solid shooters. I think the ERC's is a bit more tanky of a squad than Mace/Obikin, but Mace should be a lot of fun to run with obikin.

I think you need at least 1 gun. So Mace probably isn't the way to go. I'm still tinkering with my favorite version but most of them have Rex, because Rex.

I'm also considering 3x JWM. Pure beef that's incredibly hard to kill for guns.

This version will probably have Mace die to getting based by shooters before he's super effective more often then not.

I was toying around with the 3 JWM's also, and this is what the squad I made looked in the end.

--Obi/Ani with Jedi Weapon Master's--
85 Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker
27 Lobot
78 Jedi Weapon Master x3
9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid

Preferred Reinforcements:
(Lobot) 16 Dr. Evazan, Galactic Criminal
(Lobot) 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist

(199pts. 8 activations)

Lots of beef as you said, and it is good vs melee strafe since the 3 JWM's can Riposte. I'l like to add some shooter threat, but i think it might have to be ERC Sev otherwise you'd be sacraficing a JWM and lobot to get rex instead of just sacraficing a JWM to get Sev. Maybe Commander Wolfe from V10 is a good choice since he has GMA with double and Jedi Bodyguard and Draw Fire (not terribly useful, but could be if the opponents shooters get adjacent) His attack is low to start at +9 but as he takes damage his defense and attack go up, and with draw fire and Jedi Bodyguard he could turn into a more reliable shooter than Sev who is only shooting at a +10. You could get rid of R2 (not really wanting to have to get rid of him tho) and a JWM for Mira of Narshada and have Mira + 2 JWM + obi/ani+ lobot+ 2 uggies + reinforcements.

--ObiKin-Du--
85 Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker
65 Mace Windu, Legacy of the Light Side
25 Elite Republic Commando - Scorch
9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid
10 Rodian Diplomat x2
6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2

(200pts. 8 activations)

Here's a version that I like. (I love the name, too! It kinda sounds martial-art-ish.) It'll have no problem with doors, its shooter is hard to kill due to Shields, and I've found that the Rodians are very helpful...they can protect Mace by making it harder for shooters to base him and negate Soresu Style.

Here's another one. I just love Blizz, and after going without Lobot in the Championship this year (3rd place after Swiss), I'm no longer convinced that he's all that. The squad name is a reference to SWTOR, where the player always has a companion, and in this case, the squad is all about the companion.

--It's All About the Companion--
85 Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker
65 Mace Windu, Legacy of the Light Side
20 Blizz
10 Squib Trader
9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid
5 Rodian Diplomat
6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2

(200pts. 8 activations)

I think the best ObiKin/Mace squad with Blizz will just bring him in with Lobot, though. You won't need him all the time.
--ObiKin-Du with Headphones--
85 Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker
65 Mace Windu, Legacy of the Light Side
27 Lobot
9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid
5 Rodian Diplomat
9 Ugnaught Demolitionist x3

(200pts. 8 activations)

Speaking of how to use ObiKin, here is another squad that I'd like to try out (more for theme than for power):
--Masters and Apprentices--
85 Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker
48 Cin Drallig, Jedi Battlemaster
30 Serra Keto
20 Blizz
9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid
5 Spaarti Clone Trooper Demolitionist
3 Ugnaught Demolitionist

(200pts. 7 activations)

Serra Keto gains Soresu Style from ObiKin...and Makashi Style from Prized Pupil...and another LS Style from LS Trainer. All characters have RDE, so it's hard to shoot them (but shooters basing Cin or Serra will destroy them).

An alternative is to drop Blizz and the Spaarti and the Ug for Lobot. I'm not sure which is better, since the version without Lobot will struggle if an opponent uses the cheesy lockout tactic.

@thereisnotry

If you are worried about lockouts (which I would be too if R2 and a Spaarti are my only options), then I suggest putting a Squib Trader in the squad and giving Satchel Charge to Obi/Ani and you have a tanky character with door control (plus you can use it with working together!)

Yes, I'm very aware of that option...but in the squad in question, I only have 8pts to play with, which is not enough for the Squib.
