So we want to start another round of looking for a new designer for the V-sets, just like we did last summer. This time we are looking for someone for V-set 12, to be released at GenCon 2016. The deadline for applications will be May 25th, 4 weeks from today. Fill out the questionnaire below and PM the answer to me (Echo). This is just step 1 of the process, after the 25th we will review the applications and get back in touch with finalists for further steps.

Note that there are some small changes from last year's questionnaire (a couple new questions, a couple questions removed), so don't just copy/paste last year's if you filled one out then. :)

If you could change one piece right now, which piece would it be and what would you change about it?

What are the most important things to remember when designing a new piece?

How do you think the concept of teamwork applies to V-set design?

Give an example of a time you were involved in a personal conflict with one or more other people. How did you resolve this conflict?

Explain in your own words how you believe the design process progresses from start to finish.

Should pieces be designed to shift the metagame and if so how? Give an example.

How much time per week would you be able to dedicate to this project?

Are there any foreseeable changes to your schedule? (busy season at work, summers off, involvement in a seasonal sport, etc.)

What is your favorite WotC piece and why?

What is your least favorite WotC piece and why?

What is your favorite V-set piece and why?

What is your least favorite V-set piece and why?

What is your favorite game mechanic and why?

What is your least favorite game mechanic and why?

For each faction, what would be a good addition to that faction? Is there an element for that faction that they should not get and why?

How have you contributed to the SWM community? Give any specific examples you have.

How often do you play SWM?

How much have you played SWM competitively, and how have you fared?

What other competitive games other than SWM do you play, and how much have you played them?

What is your favorite game other than SWM?

For each of the following figures, give them a rating from 1-10 of the quality of their design and explain the rating. What “quality of design” means is up to you, but explain your reasoning.

-Gha Nachkt

-C-3P0, Ewok Diety

-Klatooinian Enforcer

-Jarael

-Luke Skywalker, Rebel Commando

-Human Bodyguard

-Jedi Battlemaster (Old Republic)

-Bastila Shan, Jedi Master

-Jan Ors

-Admiral Daala

-Golden One

-Satele Shan

I just really want to encourage anyone who thinks they might be interested in designing to take the time and fill this out. It is a lot, but it's a really useful exercise to start thinking about what you would do in that situation.
