Hah. I read on wookiee he had mando armor and acted like him for money. I was unaware whether it looked like his or not. Excuse my ignorance.

Well, I shouldn't say it didn't look LIKE Boba's, but we certainly could tell the difference:

Huh, what book/comic/etc was that in? I don't remember hearing about that one.

I've debated in going into my mandalorian diatribe and decided I'll just let it be since I'm out numbered here it seems :p Suffice it to say if he's with the faction, I won't be playing him ('cept maybe in a booster draft).

Hoping for some more EU in general this set. Was really hoping the chick on the side of one of the box in another pic was Tenel Ka, but no such luck :(

First paragraph; not sure which story in the 'Appearances' section this is in, specifically.

@Ladyhothie,
Unless the EU figure like Ailyn Vel is in the 15 fig theme of the set it won't be in the set.

We'll get 15 figs from the EU or whatever Lucas is promoting and then a movie sub theme that, in reality, dominates the set.

Isn't the 'sub' theme going to be RotJ, or something of that sort?

Jodo Kast would be better to me. Boba is getting as bad as Vader, Luke and other for overrepresentation in SM

Jodo Kast maybe?

The Galaxy thought Fett was nothing more than a half-digested morsel in the bowels of the Sarlacc, and Fett used this to his advantage. Utilizing the less recognizable Slave II, Fett only took jobs from the most subtle and discreet clients. It became even worse when Jodo Kast, a would-be bounty hunter who managed to acquire Mandalorian armor in an attempt to imitate Fett, made others believe that he was the infamous bounty hunter. Boba ambushed him using a hologram of a bounty Jodo was after and brutally finished him off by causing his jetpack to overload.

Second this motion....one more Boba (outside of mando faction) adds little to the current environment.

Are you saying that there will be 15 new characters in every set. were does that come from? i thought this only applied to FU.

Thanks punxnbutter. I am glad someone agrees with me on this.

He's just a bit bitter about the past two set's makeup. I really don't think we will see more than 5 Rebels in LOTF. We will see Imps, if just the Fels and Imperial Knights.

I was talking about Tenel Ka, and she would be in the theme of the set. This set is supposed to be about the Legacy series (Comic and Book) and Tenel Ka's an important part of the book series.

I thought someone (Rob?) said the Mandalorians would only ever be from the Old Republic timeframe. I hope this is wrong, but there it is.

Yea, because they did such a bang-up job with the ones we have now...Come on, WTF? Mandalorians were a warrior race, comparable to Greek Spartans. But look at the minis, its like comparing an American soldier to an ant. I really hope they give them some beafy CEs and grunts.

I seem to recall seeing this as well, but it could change if LFL decides to treat it more like a warrior class than a group from a given time frame. That's pretty unlikely though. I'll go on record to say I'm getting tired of Boba and anything they can do to make his new piece unavailable to every damn squad would be welcome haha

the mandos we have now are good. in any of the main factions they would be used. super commandos alone rock vary hard.

Mandalores do need some new tricks, and I'm really hoping for some Neo-Crusaders from KOTOR.

As for the underlying theme, isn't one of the sets going be Prequel heavy? I do hope so.

I would love to see a Mandalorian Boba, because as it stands the Mandos have only one real heavy hitter, and that is Mandalore (and I have to say after two games against Empirejeff where he used him, I underestimated him), as good as their melee grunts are, they fall quite quickly to Jedi and big shooters. If they were to get a Boba on their team (as historically innacurate as that may be) I would be very happy, and most likely they would become much more playable (depending on how the Boba is, but history shows he will most likely be stellar).

It's not "historically innacurate" at all. In the Legacy of the Force series (and even before that, during the NJO) Boba Fett is Mandalore, leader of the Mandalorians. In the Legacy of the Force books he is actually doing a decent bit of work to rebuild the Mandalorian civilization on their home planet.

We absolutely need a Mandalorian Fett.

We don't necessarily need another Fringe Fett.

I agree with Lobostele.

I was referring to having Mandalore and Boba on the same team, as they are from different eras of time (A buddy of mine said that this Mandalore was Camderous). But that is awesome how Boba becomes a Mandalore, I would love to see a new type of CE for the Mandos, and tho I haven't read Legacy I would think there would be a bit of new troops.
