Don't know why, but it makes me a little sad. Not like I've been over there a lot (today was the first time in years), but it was such a fun part of many of my days.

My son is now 15, he started playing about 6-7 years ago, and its still one of the primary ways we spend time together, whether a quick game, making customs, or trolling Ebay for deals. I suspect that's why anything SW Minis coming to a close makes me a little wistful - I'm not looking forward to the day he leaves for college in 3 years. I'll be immensely proud of him, he is genius level smart, but all the days I came home from work and he had his squad ready to go will be behind us.

So for all its warts, I say thank you to Wizards for producing this game we love so much. And thank you to all the developers for the V-sets - its kept us playing long after we otherwise would have.

Agreed, and nicely stated Dojimaster. My son is also 15, and it was actually him that pulled me into playing the game, but we rarely play minis these days as he has taken to other interests.

I came into the game mid-way and really didn't participate on the WotC boards much, but it is a bit sad to see it pass, just as playing minis with my son has for the most part. He is a bit fickle when it comes to sticking with a game for any length of time, so hopefully he'll come back around and regain interest as he morphs into adulthood. If not, I'll wait and get the grandchildren to play with me. :)

i think its a play on Ben Kenobi's reaction to being called obi wan.
