Man oh man, it's moving time for me. Lived in my apartment for 14 years now. I was a wee 19yr old when I moved in. Seems like only yesterday.

Well I have a downstairs storage that needed to be cleaned out, and it was chock full of empty star wars miniature booster packs. Every set was there.

It was a lot of cutting, my scissor hand is sure tired! But I am happy with the results.

What am I gonna do with all of this? Well decorate my minis card storage and squad boxes of course!

Interesting factoids -

Times factions represented:

OR - ZERO
Mando - 3
Sith - 4
Seps - 4
Republic - 13 (WotC biased much?)
Rebel - 11
Imperial - 6
Fringe - 6
New Republic - 1
Yuuzhan Vong - ZERO

Lame that they never once made box art with a single figure from the Old Republic or Yuuzhan Vong.

They started out spreading the love really nice with rebel storm. 1 Rebel, 1 Imp, 1 Fringe. That didn't last long. The very next set had 2 republic and 1 separatist. RotS came next with the exact same breakdown. Heck - The Clone Wars featured all 3 boxes with Republic characters (boo!)

One weird oddity that I was reminded of was RotS has a picture of Emperor Palpatine Sith Lord, which is an Imperial character from that set (no affinity even), but he has a giant separatist symbol behind him. Funny.

Anyway - hope someone gets a kick out of this too!

That's so cool - I've never seen images for some of those older boosters. The art for the TFU boosters looks really cool, especially the Star Killer one. Thanks for sharing.

I sometimes forget that many SWM players started post WotC era.

Many never had the joy of awaiting anxiously for the brand new set to come out. The pure adrenaline of getting the package and opening up your cases of boosters (unless of course you had it shipped UPS, then half the time you were battling that awful company just hoping you actually get them at all).

Call me a fanboy, but my favorite box art is still Boba Fett from the very first set, Rebel Storm.

I got really good at carefully opening boosters as to not destroy the box. And the pictutes you see above are ultimately why. I also have a card labeling system where I cut out the set name from the boosters for each faction to glue on the divider tab.

I'll post pictures when I'm done decorating. (Still don't know what I'm gonna do about OR and Vong)

Looking at this, I wish I'd had the foresight to do the same thing. I got in somewhere around AE/TFU, but I probably had one of each box at some point as my LGS got hold of more packs of the early sets much later on.

Thanks for posting the pics. :)

Thats beautiful. Believe it or not, I did the same thing. I still have cut outs of probably 30 or so boxs that once decorated my room and I still have 6 complete boxes hanging over my dresser! Man, I want your collection!
