the only reference on wookieepedia to Rodians is from the Bounty Hunters mini Rodian Hunt Master or a Huntmaster in Wookiee culture. It doesn't technically exist in canon, but neither does Tranodshan Mid-Wife or Trandoshan Chef, it doesn't mean we can't make it up. Cradossk, Bossk's father was the head of the Bounty Hunter's Guild, which is who comes to mind when I try to mentally connect Trandoshan Huntmaster with source material.

Who has played the video games to say more about the Wookiee Huntmaster? The Rodian Hunt Master doesn't really have anything to do with bounty hunting, but from the little bit on wookieepedia, it looks like the Wookiee version might.

I like this idea as well! Net gun or snare rifle. All the same to me. Just thinking of that clone wars episode where they are hunting the padawans.

Rend +20

After reading a bit more, I'm inclined to agree with the earlier poster that this character should boost "characters with a special ability or name that contains Hunter". (Perhaps only non-uniques.) Whether hunting bounties, droids, jedi, or just wild animals doesn't seem to matter to Trandoshans. It's the aggression and the scorekeeping that matters. (See the Society and Culture part of http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Trandoshan .) Along the same lines, I think it makes sense to give him Hunter (SA from the epic Boba).

Trandoshan Hunt Master 25
HP 70
Def 18
Atk 12
Dmg 20

Camaraderie (Trandoshan allies gain Bounty Hunter +2)

Hunter (After setup, choose 1 of the following: a specific faction, Unique enemies, Droid enemies, or enemies with a Force rating. This character gains +4 Attack and +10 Damage against the chosen type of enemy for the rest of the skirmish.)

Greater Mobile Attack

Rapport (Characters whose name contains Trandoshan cost 1 less when in a squad with this character)

CE:
Allies with a name or a special ability that contains Hunter gain Ambush and Backlash.

I like that he gives out Ambush to Trandoshans. There is too much for the SA. I would drop Snare rifle to one ally and he has to have snare rifle to give it. I would drop Rend 20 to 10 and Take out blast cannon for snare rifle.
Camradirie to one ally.

I still think there is too much going on even with my changes. I do like the feel but there too much and its too strong.
I would drop the whole snare rifle and just give out BH 2.


Trandoshan Huntmaster
25 cost

A note about Camaraderie. It really isn't supposed to be designed to help more than one or two specific figures, mainly Uniques. With a few rare occurences, it also supposed to give out an SA that is on the character itself.

31 points (probably not haha)

Twin Attack
Close-Quarters Fighting
Wookiee Hunter (+4 attack against Wookiees)
Rapport (Trandoshan characters cost 1 less)
Regeneration 10
Stealth

Commander Effect:
Allied Trandoshan characters gain Twin Attack.

At the end of this character's turn, one Trandoshan ally may take an immediate turn.

I see what your saying Johnny and agree that some of the extras could be dropped. However it seeems like Rend+20, double claw and regen are race traits. So really it's just ambush and snare rifle for SAs if we can't use Camradirie. The Wookie hunter fits but is to situational to be practical, I do like the rapport for Trandoshans though. It looks like it's the bounty hunter option or the snare rifle/ambush one thus far.
So new take similar to last:
Trandoshan Huntmaster
27, hp 70, def 18, atk 9, dmg 20
SA
Ambush
Regeneration 10
Double claw attack
Rend +20
Snare Rifle

CE
Trandoshan allies gain Ambush while within 6 squares of this character

Here are the base stats I think we should have on him
cost 25-35

70-100 hp
7-10 attack
16-19 def
20 damage

Double claw
Regen 10
Rend 20
Wookiee hunter
Rapport-1 trans

ce for trans


I think he can give out snare rife to one ally trans at the beginning of the game or having it is fine but having ambush and snare is too much.

Giving out snare to all is too much I think.

Not to mention the Mercenary Commander that gives Mercenaries Furious Assault. Anyone that has seen Epic OR in action can tell you forget this idea right now.

Odds are this is not a power 10 card. We need to think power 6-8. So think of one good ce and make him a good attacker like a weak wookiee.

This should be more of a flavor piece if we don't think it has enough power add more so on.

I think he needs to have a bounty hunter ce and something for one trandoShan. Something vs wookiees.
Double claw and regen. I can take or leave rend.

I think he needs to be a bounty hunter if it's a cradossk nu.

Let's get the basic stats done and work on the ce then or have a weak ce as a place holder. So we can get a feel of we're the character is going.
