RM cannot be the scavenger (already used 2 times chazrach and saba sebatyne). Should be able to be aby of the other Trandoshians (Mercenary AE, Mercenary LOTF, or Elite Mercenary DT).

Or it could be another mini altogether if it will be a big boost to trandos.

I personally would use one of the Mercenary (either AE or LOTF) then you could still play the other one in your squad if wanted.

So RS Bossk is right out of the question then?

I just noticed the Rodian from Bounty Hunters is called Rodian Hunt Master.

Is it a big deal if we call this one Trandoshan Hunt Master, just for consistency?

Consistency is key. I'd say using existing pieces as a template will really help keep the piece true to the game, so, "Hunt Master" makes more sense.

The Scavanger should really have been used for Slyssk.

I think UrbanJedi's point is very valid "use one of the Mercenary (either AE or LOTF) then you could still play the other one in your squad if wanted."

I would prefer it be a non-trandoshan piece so i can include the others in the same squad, but if it does have to be a trandoshan RM, the fact that we have two Mercenaries does make sense to use one of the duplicates, as it frees up the other.

The Scavenger seems the least useful, BUT, one solid CE/SA could really change that.

I like "Hunt Master". When I first saw the name I imediately thought of what synergy this figs CE might have with the Rodian Hunt Master.

I think one of the Mercenary figs would be the best RM.

I think that using one of the versions of Bossk would be a wise idea. I know this guy is non-unique, but all the Bossk figs shoudl be cheap enough that you could easily pick two up if needed.

The v-sets are more about getting use of our current figs then having to purchase more to play. While bossks are fairly cheap, I don't think the V-Set team will ever let a unique represent a non unique (I personally hope they wouldn't, because i don't want to have to collect multiple uniques). I'm no authority, so, the v-set team would have to verify if they would allow the unique to stand it, but my gut instinct is to say that its a bad idea.

Why force your players to buy a hand full of bossks when we all have a million other worthless pieces sitting around waiting to be reassigned?

This is a commander... unlikely you'd play more than 1 anyway. At most 2. But I still think it should be a non-unique. I think the AE Trandoshan Mercenary is the best bet.

After 5 years I guess it's about time I broke one out the plastic baggie. Like I've said before, I'm not getting hung up on the RM because it is totally non binding for gameplay. You can use whatever you want.

True. It seems like I almost never use the RM. I usually find a proxy within the same faction since those are the minis I have on hand when I'm building the squad. For this one, though, being Fringe, I'll probably use the RM since the Fringe box comes out pretty regularly anyway.

I personally tend to customize.

Yep, if I'm going to play it, I usually will bash out a custom.

It looked to me like the winners were:

Trandoshan Hunt Master
RM: AE Trandoshan Mercenary

Correct?

Now that we have a name, discussion of stats can begin in earnest.

The discussion about timing/voting/process is here:

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=15879

Based on that, we will have 10 days for open discussion of SAs, stats, CEs, etc. On the November 10th, we will start a new thread where full stat card proposals can be posted. After a couple days to post them, voting will begin. Details about voting are not yet decided... see the thread above to discuss the voting process.

After the votes are resolved, we will have a Working Draft. We will have the last half of the month to test and modify (possibly radically modify) the Working Draft.

I liked the idea of Camaraderie to Trandoshans (Bounty Hunter +2) and then a boost to Bounty Hunters. The mobility boost also seems like a good idea. I would go for a Ambush/Backlash combination instead of GMA, though. We could grant both, or use a CE to the same effect:

Commander Effect:
Allies with Bounty Hunter or whose name contains Bounty Hunter may use special abilities and Force powers that grant extra attacks even if they move.

It lets you both move and use multiple attacks, but doesn't let you duck out of and back into cover on the same turn.

I'd also like to grant Affinity of some sort. Perhaps Affinity -1 for characters whose name contains Trandoshan.

How about Camradirie (Trandoshan allies gain bounty hunter +2 and net gun)

Also I like the idea of letting bounty hunter allies use abilities that replaces attacks twice instead of once. It already exists with Tarpals anywas and would make the Trandos epic for activating guys haha

Trandoshan Huntmaster
30, hp 80, def 16, atk 6, dmg 20
SA
Bounty Hunter +2
Regeneration 10
Double claw attack
Rend +20
Net Gun 16
Blast Cannon (+10 Damage against targets within 6 squares)
Camradirie (Trandoshan allies gain bounty hunter +2 and Net Gun)
CE
Bounty Hunter allies (including this character) may use abilities that replaces attacks twice per turn

Some other outside the box ideas. Huntmasters are actually hunters, not just bounty hunters.
What about something entirely different like this?

CE: Trandoshan allies gain Snare Rifle and Savage Hunter

So... where does the title Trandoshan Hunt Master come from anyway? I don't see it on wookieepedia - only in reference to Wookiees and Rodians.
