I am proud to announce a new Star Wars Miniature event being held in Buffalo, NY on Dec 7th & 8th. it is right in the between Mini Mania and Frostycon. I am still working on the details (I will update this post when i get more information). There will also be a side contest for the best custom mini from v-set 4, epic set 2, or jedi vs sith. There will be some great prize support for this event that we are still working on. I know we will have some of the Bounty Hunter Challenge Cards from Gencon (Luke & palpatine) even some custom minis. Here are the details Details so far Date: December 7th & 8th Time: Friday gaming Time TBA, Saturday Dec. 8th Registration @ 10:00AM, First round @ 11:00AM Cost: 20 Dollars (Includes Dinner) Location: Buffalo, NY (More Details to Follow) Format: Friday(Mixed Gaming) ~ Saturday (300pt Constructed) {Should we make it 300pts w/ at least 1 Huge} Prizes: 1st - Trophy, 60% of Profits & Custom Mini 2nd - Trophy, 30% of Profits & Custom Mini 3rd - Trophy, 10% of Profits & Custom Mini Sportsmanship Award - Trophy & Custom Mini Plenty of Door Prizes as well! Custom Mini Contest: Cost 5 Dollars per entry winner takes all. Each person at the event gets one vote, Person with the most votes takes home the the cash & Trophy. As of this morning, it looks like I'll likely be able to attend this event!  --500pt epic, baby! (this has always been my favorite format, so I might be a bit biased) --300pt standard skirmish (it would be fun to see what people can design using those extra 100 points) --regular 200pt --200pts, using the format that they've used in Europe: each player brings 2 squads, you look at your opponent's two squads and then secretly decide which squad you'll play, then reveal the squad. There are lots of cool interactions and strategies involved here, and it gives a bit of variety over the course of the tournament. Another version is that you have a Light Side squad and a Dark Side squad, and you roll the dice: whoever wins the roll picks which squad he will play (ie, LS), and his opponent will play the opposite squad (ie, DS). That's a lot of fun too. |

Small update we will have some Friday night mayhem (more details to follow) also we will be going with the 300 constructed format. I am loving the idea of what squads may come out for this. We may even see a huge piece come out as well |

Good news, the Friday Night Follies are on at Chez Nader! We'll be starting as people arrive in from work/out of town and go until sleep is required. If you're thinking of traveling in from out-o-town send me a PM, as there will most likely be more than enough room to flop at Chez Nader. |
