Just finished uploaded a lot of new stuff to SWMResources.com this morning, so go check it out! There is an article front and center on the home page detailing the additions and where to find them.

Thanks to thereisnotry, swinefeld, and kezzamachine for all the great new additions!

Thanks Echo, TINT and Kez :)

Small clarification on TINT's visual how-to for Vassal. The screenshot for moving the extension into the subfolder shows the vmod file again, not the mdx. (common sense should prevail there in most cases)

Aside from that one very minor discrepancy, that is a most excellent tutorial.
Well done!

Actually, that's not an error.

After you've moved the .mdx file into the "SWMinis_ext" folder, all you should see in the VASSAL folder should be the SWMinis.vmod file (as shown). I included that screenshot because this is one of the 2 or 3 places where people mix things up 90% of the time. The .vmod file remains in place and never moves again the whole time, once you put it into the VASSAL folder. It's the .mdx file that moves twice (and therefore why it's not shown in that screenshot).

As with all tutorials, the way to read this tutorial is not just to follow the pictures; rather, people should read the instructions and then refer to the pictures as they go, to ensure that they've understood the instructions correctly. Pictures supplement the instructions, but don't replace them.

I concur, reeding iz gud. Doh.

What threw me (visually) is that you say "place that file in the SWM_ext folder" and show an arrow pointing to the vmod, and another to the empty extensions folder. The stuff that follows clarifies the result, so a careful reader (not me apparently) should get it right.

Sorry about that, and thanks again for your work! :)
