Just wanted to let people know that there is a Epic Duels (the old school gateway to SWM) tourney on Friday night at 10 pm. It's a 2 person team tourney. If you don't have a teammate you will be paired with one. Should be a fun time. |

Heck yeah! It has been approved, but I don't think it's in the catalogue yet. Just show up. Expect to have fun. Rookies and veterans alike. If youve never played but you play minis, this will be a snap. Just don't expect to win - Deri and I have that on lockdown. |

I'm not running it - so I have no control over that. I would assume Epic Duos will be done by 10pm though. Once we get the location - we'll let you know, and just come on down afterwards and I'm sure we can get you involved somehow, even if it's just playing a side game. |

Hi All, I'm Roman, the administrator of this facility. No wait, that's Lando's line. I'm Roman, the administrator of the Epic Duels Tournament at GenCon. Thrilled that there's interest from this group, as I know it was Epic Duels that got Tim, Deri and me into SWM. We were all avid SWM players in the early days, but while the 2 of them went on to dominate SWM Tourneys for years to come, I'm still playing Epic Duels. Anyways, I'll post text files of the rules and the decks later tonight, but in short: - We are registered at GenCon but not catalogued. - Friday at 10pm, location TBD -- will update on this board as soon as I have a more specific location (might be Friday so check back). If SWM will be concluded by 10pm Friday, it might make sense to squat in their tables. - Should be 2-3 hours. Every team will play at least 2 games of 45 minutes each, then we'll move to a playoff round. - 2v2 Format. Either come with a teammate or you will be assigned one. - League of Legends draft: I'll post the complete rules and provide a link but in short, all the decks involved are deemed equal to each other. For every game, each team first bans 3 decks, then each team selects their 2 decks from the remaining decks. You can end up playing the same decks every game if you want. - All games will be played on the Geonosis Arena map. - Essentially each team will roll off and decide if they want to go 1st, or choose which side of the map to be on, or if they instead want to choose their draft order (complete detailed rules to be made available later). - 28 balanced decks: -- Only Dooku, Mace, Anakin and Yoda from the original game are to be included, the others are deemed too strong or too weak to be included. -- 12 Fan-made expansion decks including Lando, Tarkin, Jabba, Grievous, Ahsoka, Cad Bane and others. -- 12 decks from the fan-made "Expanded Universe Expansion" including decks for the likes of Kyle Katarn, Dash Bane, Darth Bane, Prince Xizor and others. There's even a Bastila Shan and Darth Malak, authored by Deri! Prize: The winning team gets the set of 24 fan-made decks being used in the tournament. If you are an avid SWM player, you already have the figures to go with them! |

The cost to play is a single generic ticket. All materials will be provided. Don't have to bring anything. All decks have 31 cards including 12 special cards. No deck has 13 special cards -- if you read that one does, that's a misprint. |

Yes, I caught that after going through the custom decks that I have. I deleted my post after I found out it was a misprint but apperently you already read it. No harm, no foul, its cool. |
