So the other day my 5 year old son asked me when Tim (timmerb123) was going to come over and teach him how to play minis. I said "buddy you know that I can teach you how to play minis?".

He just simply responded "No, I want Tim to teach me!!"

I laughed cause I thought it was funny but part of me can't help but feel a little offended by that.

I've been playing minis with Tim for years and would like to think that part of his success is because of me but now even my 5 yr old knows he's a better player than me. :?

Are you always complaining about how you can never beat him or something? Pretty astute observation for a 5 yr old. A friend of mine that I have played minis with for years is a teacher and has a SWM club at his school. Apparently the whole class is aware that whenever he wins a game against me, it is a rare occasion. I'm not sure how he commemorates the celebration, if he treats the whole class to pizza or what.

No, I've beaten Tim on many occasions, and never at all complain when I lose. I think it has more to do with him wanting Tim to come over and play with him but it's just funny.

My son is very clever and this was probably just a clever way of asking when Tim was going to come over again.

My son likes to play a game where he takes out all of his toys and piles them up on his bed that he calls playing garbage truck.
I told him I didn't like that game and he wasn't allowed to play that again cause it just makes a big mess.
A couple days later I walk into his room and see him doing the same thing. I ask him if he's playing garbage truck again. He said "No, I'm playing 'good will'".

Funny, clever, little boy he is.
