$59.99 is retail and that's what Target is currently charging in stores where they put it out a couple days early. For a bit there was a mistake where it was only ringing up at $10, but they caught the mistake.

I saw it going for $45-70 on Ebay. Its "official" date is Friday. I got mine for $60 in CT tonight so I doubt this is going to be all that hard to come by. I think the price point of $60 is really a lame draw to bring in new players from a big box store, but maybe a lot of people have enough spare cash to drop that much for a game they don't know. The rest of us.....well WotC knows we're crazy for minis so it doesn't matter.

Punxnbutter Where did you find it in CT? I have been looking for it all over at Target stores South and East of Hartford, and have not been unable to snag it. I haven't even seen space made for it on the shelves. What section do they keep it in? Up by the registers in the card/collectibles section, or back behind the toy section?

Nice score.

Same here. According to the Target employee I spoke to who finally was able to help me with some information from a fellow gamer, he said Target has the items listed as an active but unshelved item. All you need is the DCPI number and they will go to the back and get you one or if you call ahead, they will hold you one at the service desk.

DCPI# - 087-12-0754

That's if they have it.

As of 11/23 stores in the north Dallas area (Frisco, Plano, Carrollton & Lewisville) don't even have them in the back. :(

That's pretty bad considering they were suposed to be Target Exclusive, yet my LGS here in the UK has had them for around three weeks now.

I went to 2 of them in Oklahoma City and only found one. We have 4 in the metro area. I felt better knowing a booster came with it. Although the pulls were not that good.

Depending on what the price would be if you can get bulk packs, I might be interested.

I went to three Targets on Friday and 2 of them had them out on the shelves. The other had no idea what I was talking about.

I will have my buddy pick one up for me as he gets a 20% discount.

Sorry I missed your post earlier. I called the Farmington Target before Thanksgiving and asked them to set one aside for me; it was waiting at guest services. After I saw it was going for $60 I decided against walking to the toys and looking for more....

We should get a game going sometime.

Woot, just got the Hoth Battle set at the Manchester CT, Target. They have them on an end-cap in the Toys section. Same end-cap as the Star Wars Lego sets. It was funny, because I asked about the Hoth Battle set for miniatures, they had just put out a AT-ST battle (Hoth and Endor) end-cap as Target exclusives. The Target employee kept insisting that I had it wrong, and I must have meant "action figures" instead of "miniatures". Then just by accident, I looked down the isle in frustration, and there it was. Called my local minis friends, and we all swooped in to get the Hoth Battle goodness. The extra Bounty Hunters throw in was nice, but I would much rather a $40.00 price tag instead.

This set is highly recommended.

Don't know if it has been mentioned so far:

Since all the bases are round, you get Vader Imperial Commander on a round base. Same goes for Han on Tauntaun. Sweet !!

Looks like we might be able to get another sanctioned tournament going at "The Grid" in Manchester, CT this Saturday at 2PM. If you can make it, that would be great.
