I made a form up with Excel that is basic yet covers most all you would need for a playtest session. It will total your activations and total points for you.

You are welcome. Again, basic but we used it the other night and it was fine.

Ah, very cool. That will definitely be useful. Good job!

I'm using it to write up a PT report right now, but I don't know how to get it to transfer its data to a useful format for the website. Is there a function or a macro which will put it into a forum-ready format?

Not sure, I will check it out at work tomorrow and see. I was merely going to attach each new Excel playtest report and PM all the appropriate people.

The way that PT reports get to the designers is that we (Weeks and/or I) receive a PM from the testers, and then we copy it into a post in a thread called Playtesting Results in the V-Set design forums section. Then the people who need to see it can all access it easily and when they need to...it would not work well to send an Excel document as an attachment to the 10 (or so?) of them via PM for each playtesting game. So, at the risk of sounding ungrateful or nitpicky (neither of which is my intention, sorry!), I think this thing will need some method for translating the data into forum-friendly text, or else we won't be able to use it as intended.

So I really hope there is some way to translate the data, because it could be a very useful tool if it works out!

I see what you are saying. It may be beyond my Excel capability but my wife who is much more proficient might be able to help. I will see what, if anything, she can do this evening.

There's a way to set up exel to create a print out page that summarizes the data where you can copy and paste from.

Yep, the SWRPG excel sheet had that function, and it worked great. Something like that for this excel sheet would make it an excellent tool.

I am still checking on this and have not forgotten. I have been working 3:00A to 2:30P all week and am feeling wacky. My wife is going to look at it with me tonight and check the posts in this forum to be sure what it is that is needed. You do not simply mean a file that is smaller and akin to a Notepad format correct? I found the file could be saved at only 3KB in this way and was handy and condensed.
