Wonder what happens when you use Force Repulse while riding the Troop Cart? I suppose it probably takes damage, gets moved, and if it's destroyed you can disembark from wherever it happened to land, if you survive...

For 15 points this thing might have some uses.

I wanna try Leia, HC with it or with the passengers. Could be fun.

The cart will drag ass.

I think you're making a joke here? It has Speed 8. Sure it's going to be slowed down a little bit, but K-3PO could help out.

Oh snap, that would've been cool. Kind of frustrating that Spirit Obi is so limited when Hologram Veers can still move 12. Oh well.

Check out the new mini-FAQ (I've got it in the rules area here too). Repulse on the cart is the BOMB. Seriously. :P No damage to the cart. Repulse shockwave counts out from the Cart itself (since you don't add a +1 when counting range with the Cart). Crazy.

How's this for 'Carts of Catastrophe'? :P
Garm Bel Iblis
Master Kota
Obi-Wan Unleashed
K-3PO

Med Droid
Ugo x2
Rebel Troop Cart x2 (Garm's Reinforcements)

Thanks for the insight!

I don't have a Skiff, but pulled the cart last night.

I'm looking forward to skuttling my commanders around in it, to extend their CEs just a wee bit and maybe giving a little bit of mobility to the Atgar or the new 3shot gun guy (forgot his name).

And don't forget that Leia RH's CE could be crazy-good with Lightsaber Sweep. The sweeping character will always be within 6 of Leia, because she'll be BESIDE him on the Cart...and, since it's huge, it will be easier to continue the sweep by basing more figures.

I'm curious about the implications of Leia RH's CE on Force abilities like Repulse....

55 Kota
15 Cart
15 Leia RH

Basically, it would be a moving 85-Point Pile of Repulse-Power! Kota's 50dmg Repulse will kill many pieces on the board, and so with creative placement you can be moving the Cart around Repulsing the whole board! (It's somewhat similar to Jacen's moving Unleash the Force.)

...erm, that sounds broken. I must be mis-interpreting the rules here or else I'm sure a ruling of some sort will be put into place to change it.

Yeah, that's not going to work. Leia's CE allows the character that is doing the killing to move 2 squares after a kill. In your idea, the character doing the killing is the Jedi riding ON the cart, not the cart itself. So, having Leia RH on the cart with a Sweep/Repulse Force user won't help you at all.

Tossing the Hoth Trooper w/ Repeating Blaster Cannon onto the Troop Cart seemed to be fairly popular this weekend at our 2 different release tournaments. It actually works quite well. One guy even pulled a Hoth Trooper Officer (one that grants Deadeye) and just kept running the Officer along side the Troop Cart. That made the Repeating Blaster Cannon guy shooting 3 times at +8 for 30 dmg!

There are a lot of characters who will benefit from a ride on the cart - Maris Brood, Master Kota, Obi-Wan Unleashed, etc. They can ride into battle in the cart and do their multiple attacks and "replaces turn" force powers.

Gundarks?

I want to run Tamtel Skreej and a Mistryl on a troop cart, but I think it's gonna need a new paint job. And probably a new driver.

LOL....Yeah, I don't think any of the guys who ran the cart ended up doing real well in the sealed events, but hopefully it's more a matter of building to correctly utilize the cart. We'll see I guess.

Bill ran it and won.

But then he has LukeU and Apprentice redeemed and the golan turret to tank for it.

The highlight of my tourney was losing ObiU (full health) when the cart got minced.

This was a bad tourney for me.

The guy that took 1st at the tourny I went to pulled and used the cart - however, he had Vader Unleashed and VSA Unleashed riding on the cart.

Doh, didn't write my last post carefully. Meant to say nobody at MY release events played a cart and did well. But then again, I don't think any of them had as good a pulls like Luke Unleashed, the Apprentices, or Vader, lol.

I used the darktrooper and sometimes a mon cal medic for the release event on the troop cart. You can heal the troop cart, and the darktrooper can move 16 squares and attack. Now that's good. 8)

The troop cart is better, but being rebel obviously limits its uses. I like it though.

And the occupants and the cart itself are uneffected. This also makes the range of repulse greater as well.
