I was pleasantly surprised to find two cases from Miniature Market sitting on my doorstep when I got home last night.

Plus, I had pre-ordered another case through my LGS that I picked up at midnight last night. So, here were my case pulls:

Case 1:
Shaak Ti
Han of Hoth
Obi-Wan
Princess Leia
Wedge
2-1B
Luke's Speeder
AT-ST

Pretty happy with the first one. Kind of bummed about Han and Leia, since those were two that I really didn't care for.

Case 2:
Han of Hoth
Chewie of Hoth
2-1B
Obi-Wan
K-3PO
Juno (I think, don't have the cards on my at the moment)

So, after Case #2, I was a bit pissed. Not only did I pull 3 dupes already, but 2 of those (Han and Chewie) I really didn't want at all! GRR

So...I figured it couldn't get any worse...

But it definitely got a lot better. :D

Case 3:
Darth Revan
Vader's Apprentice, Unleashed
Vader's Apprentice, Redeemed
2-1B
Luke Hoth Pilot Unleashed
Ozzel

Pulling Revan, both the Apprentices, and Luke made it all much better.

Also managed to get at least 2 AT-STs and 2 Uggernauts I think. Only VR Huge I pulled was Luke's Speeder in the first box. Couple other guys pulled Rancors, and man, they are sweet looking.

I got my case this morning -
1 booster had the Rancor and Boba Fett. Not a bad start. The Rancor is insanely heavy.. easily the heaviest mini Ive handled between SWM and DDM (well, the Icons and AT-AT are probably heavier..)

Also in the case was Vader. so thats 3 VR. Good start. Beyond that, Im drawing a blank. It was a really good case.

So, has anyone found a tendency with the booster art?

Also, how many people know what to look for now when picking up a booster to cherry pick? I sure do. Some of these huges are so obvious.

Snowspeeder and Rebel Trooper Cart when shaken will slide all the way up and down the booster.

Rancor - HEAVY!

Spider - All the weight is at the top.

TIE Crawler - At the top and the box will be bulging.

OMG, no kidding. It's probably close to twice as heavy as many of the others. It's nuts.

The TIE is pretty easy since it's so wide and the box ends up being VERY stiff in one direction.

I didn't pay attention to the booster art last night when opening stuff. In my experience, it's never really made much difference.

There have been problems with Art / Distribution in other Wizards products.. most notably (and recently) with War of the Dragon Queen - no booster with the Blackguard on Nightmare box art held a huge rare. None.

The last booster that my FLGS had on the shelves sat there for a VERY long time. like 8 months.. maybe more. When we opened it, we werent surprised that the 22$ booster held about 4 dollars worth of minis.

Couldn't wait for my cases to get here this weeked, so I went to the Comic Book store nearby. I picked up one booster and it felt very heavy. My heart skipped a beat as I thought, "Rancor!" So I grabbed 3 other boosters and bought them. Here's what I got.

Huges: Tie Crawler; Wookie Hunter AT-ST; Felucian Warrior on RANCOR; Knobby White Spider

R/VR: Kazdan Paratus; K-3PO; Vader's Apprentice, Unleashed; Proxy

UC: Hoth Trooper Officer; Hoth Trooper with Repeating Blaster Cannon; REbel Marksman; AT-AT Driver; Felucian Stormtrooper Officer; Star Destroyer Officer; Stormtrooper; Mynock

C: Elite Hoth Trooper; Mon Calamari Medic; Verpine Tech; Wookie Warrior; Gotal Imperial Assassin; Imperial Navy Trooper; Raxus Prime Trooper; Snowtrooper; Cloud Car Pilot x2; Muun Tactics Broker; Ugnaught Tech

My two favorite sculpts are the Rancor and the Verpine Tech. All in all, I think I got some great pulls. Yeah, I'm happy! :D

Got my first case today.

6 UC huges:Golan, TIE, Spider, Troop Cart, Tank Droid, Junk Golem

Rares: Juno, Leia, Kazadan, Tauntaun

VR: Luke/Yoda & Fett.

Not liking the return to the cases with no R/VR huges but at least I got 2 of my big VR wants. Now I wait until Monday to get my other 2 cases.

Broke down and bought a case, too.
All Huges were the 6 uncommons. I am seeing this quite regularly, and it pretty much stinks!
Otherwise I got:
Kazdan
Rebel on Tauntaun
K-3P0
Vader's Apprentice, Redeemed
Hansickle
Maris Brood

Not fantastic pulls, not horrible pulls. I pray I see something awesome in my two boosters for tomorrow's release tourney!

Overall I am happy with my 2 cases. Some duplicates, but I can trade them.

One interesting thing though. The second booster of the second case had these minis:
Golan Battery
K-3PO
AT-AT Driver, Hoth Trooper w/ Repeating Blaster
Snowtrooper, Wookiee Warrior, Cloud Car Pilot

The cards were:
Telosian Tank Droid
Master Kota
Ugnaught Tech, Star Destroyer Officer
Gotal Imp. Assassin, Mon Cal Medic, Hoth Trooper Officer

Never had anything like this happen before. I figured I was going to have to contact Customer Service and make arrangements for replacements. Then I opened the last booster in the case and it was the exact opposite.

So, in the case was a card for each mini. Just not all in the right boxes.

Bought two packs today pulled Vader's SA, Redeemed and the Telosian Tank Droid in my second pulled Kota and a TIE Crawler. I wish I would have been playing in a release tourney cuz I think I could have done ok with it.

Hit me earlier this evening I might not be home when UPS comes with my cases on Monday. I don't want to wait another day when I already know from the tracking they made it up here last night and are sitting down there just waiting to go on the truck Monday morning.

Yeah, I figure I'll have to go pick up my last two cases on Monday at the UPS center. Maybe they won't require a signature this time or be running late when I'm home form work.

So far with three cases + two boosters + two trades and I need 9 figures to complete the set. Only missing (VR) Revan, Shaak, Chewie, Vader (R) Kota, Leia, Tauntaun, Wedge, Ozzel.

Overall, I've had my best pulls from any set so far.

Then pulled a second Fett and a 4th Kota in my release.

Leia was promptly turned into Ozzel, and my Fett and VSA were turned into Obi, Unleashed, Proxy, and a Rancor.

I'm waiting for my cases to arrive on Monday, but could not resist buying two boosters. First one had Telosian Tank Droid and Han in Carbonite (not my first choice, but, hey, at least a VR...).

Second booster: Rancor and Maris Brood!

I got a good pre-order on Luke's Snowspeeder, so even before I open up an of my cases, I've already got 4 of the VR.

All said and done, after 3 cases, 2 Release events (won 1 extra booster from the 2nd event), and a little trading, I am only missing 5 (Hansickle, Garm, Rancor, Juno, Boba). Pulled Vader Unleashed and Maris Brood in the 1st Release event (which was great because I didn't have either one yet) and then Revan and Kota in the 2nd event. Won 3rd place in the first event, and very narrowly got 2nd in the 3rd event. I only lost the last game in the 2nd event because my opponent crit with his Telosian Tank Droid to kill Revan, and then I missed like 10 attack rolls in a row to kill the opponent's Vader Unleashed. Was crazy.

I'm VERY happy with everything so far, and the more I play with some of the pieces, the more I love what this set is doing to the game.

I will say that I am impressed with the FW on Rancor after our release tourney Saturday.

We played a 150 sealed tourney with the ability to add some extras. I took VSA, UL along with Kazadan (never got extras) and my son just rolled along with just the Rancor. He blocked hallways as I came in behind him. He killed a Junk Golem twice before I had to engage Fett, another Kazdan and several others. It is a very nice piece. Look forward to using it again.
