Hey folks!

I'm ready at last to unveil the projects I've been getting ready for Gen Con: Mass Transit III, and the Surveillance Station terrain cards!

The Strike Force Carrier has never been seen before; I hope you find it worthwhile, as there was no time to put it forward for peer review and revision. I basically started and finished it last week.

The Boarding Action map sketch was reviewed here previously, and I hope you like what it has turned into with the help of your suggestions. I even found a way to open up that cell block to the engineering corridor without changing the ship's general design: I blew out a wall with explosives! ;-) A terrain card included with the poster lets you repair the damage, but the base poster now allows even huges to use that route through the ship.

Very nice! I like them both.

As for matters of buying, I'm assuming that this project will need to be funded via kickstarter and then we can pick them up at Gencon?

Yep, you can pick them up at Gen Con if you wish. Any that don't get picked up there will then be sent out when I get home. :)

Well, Mass Transit 1 is out of print, I'm sorry to say. If there's enough demand after this funding drive, I might try to arrange a reprint of that and Forsaken Lands 1 (which is also out of print).

Are you going to be selling these at the show as well? Not everyone uses online payment programs.

Well if that happens, great. I can still use another MT-II to make 1/2 of the layout, and then add the cargo docks plus Train Station(s).

And it looks like the Strike Force Carrier might possibly hook up with those as well?

Yep, Boris! These will be for sale at Gen Con. Eventually they'll be available through my website and, I suspect, through MiniatureMarket, Paizo, and other retailers.

That's right, swinefeld! The video on my Kickstarter page shows a couple of ways they can all fit together. You can even string them all in a line with the Carrier at the front, and with a little imagination you've got a super-long capitol ship deck with a railway system running through it--similar to Grievous's ship in the first season of Clone Wars.

Also, in the interest of playing "Vanna White" with certain map features, the Carrier has a Star Destroyer-like bridge layout, and a room further back that could be Vader's meditation chamber, or even the Emperor's throne room if you ignore a couple of walls.

Since you guys haven't seen that one yet, I'm eager to hear what you think of its skirmish playability. I tried to make this one competitive, though I think the left-hand side has an early gambit advantage due to fewer doors that need to be overcome. It's my hope that the maneuvering options outside, and some within, help balance that out--but I leave that to you folks to decide.

I'm so bummed that I'm utterly broke. Guess I'll have to wait to buy 'em later. I'm really glad the d20 radio tiles are going to be available. I also like tile option for the cell block. Clever. In any case, you'll have my cash eventually :)

In other news, I've made a new announcement regarding this Kickstarter project: If we double the goal in the next 10 days, I'm going to reprint the out-of-print Mass Transit I and make it available to backers as one of their reward choices.

A lot of people have been asking me when Mass Transit I will be available again, and this seems like an ideal way to make it happen. If we can get enough people on board for Mass Transit III, the original Mass Transit poster will come along for the ride!
