Post subject:  GenCon: The Sith Trials
There can be only one true Master of the Sith!

This year at GenCon, on Friday we will have a 3 tournament cycle, we are calling the "Sith Trials"

Friday
8 am Mystery Map **** NMN1118554
2 pm Tile Wars **** NMN1118539
5 pm Epic Duos **** NMN1118631

The winner will be the player with the most overall points of all three tournaments combined. Tie-breakers will be the official SWMGamers tie-break tournament system that we are currently finalizing.

In Mystery Map all games will be played on a brand new map designed by our talented community map makers Jedi Cartographer and armored gear. The map will be new to everyone, so that adds a fun new twist. Normal 200 pt tournament rules apply.


TILE WARS is fast furious fun. Bring a legal tile (or use one of ours) and put it end to end with your opponent's. Your squads will battle it out to the death inside that small area. Carnage is the name of this game, all games must finish.

Epic Duos is brand new. You will randomly be given a new Epic character to use. You will pair them with another legal character and battle it out.

*IMPORTANT

Due to a minor schedule snafu, Epic Duos may start late.

TILE WARS starts at 2pm and is usually quick, but there is only 3 hours befor Epic Duos begins.

Since they are both a part of the Sith Trials, we will wait to start Epic Duos until after TILE WARS is finished.

Feel free to sign up for both (and we hope you do), they will not overlap.

Please be ready for Epic Duos at 5pm, and we will start immediately after TILE WARS is done.

We will do everything we can to expedite the process.

Will there then be a conflict with the start time of the Team Competition? I was going to play in the Tile Wars, Epic, and Team if I can...will have to skip Epic if they run into each other with end/start times.

If the entire Epic Tournament goes to three hours, I will be very shocked. I personally played six Epic games in a row in just a little over an hour. They are fast and fun, that is to be sure. It is simply possible to play in both Epics and the Team Tourney. I would hope so, at least, since I am playing Epics and judging the Teams :)
