I agree.

Untill we have the rest of the set, I can't really say. I'll vote another time.

Right now I'm not sure what to vote, Rebels are getting a lot of good stuff, but not all of the imperial or fringe stuff have been revealed yet.

I voted Rebels, but only by what we have seen so far.

I honestly dont think there is any way to gage it. The way this game is played is going to drastically change!

BTW....I CALL IT!!!!! My release event draft will be Ozzel and Hancicle!

From the pieces we have seen so far, I would defnintely say that the Rebels are getting a very big boost, just like last set.

From what I have seen the Rebels are the new Empire.

I picked the Rebels, because the Separatists aren't available as a choice.

The Muun Tactics Broker really helps the Separatists - especially when your opponent is playing him. What a fitting name.

I think I have a good chance at Hansickle without the Hoth Han in the other booster. For A&E I had Spirit Obi without a unique force user to pair him with.

I voted for the Rebels.

Shaak Ti and Garm Bel Iblis both have affinity for the Rebs.

Proxy will be nice to use along with any of the new Rebel beats.

I'm really excited to use Golan Arms Turret: at 26pts, it only needs to survive 6 rounds in gambit in order to be worth its points...oh, and it can shoot too.

All the new Rebel force users with unleashed powers = major boost.

The Vanguard is a very useful piece, given the right support.

Chewie of Hoth is...nevermind. :D

Other than Chewie, the Rebels have really gained a boost with TFU.

Seeing as how the Empire now can have 30 defense stormies, and Uber rancors, I say they are benifiting the most now. Not to even mention the fact they have a san hill, and the tactics broker makes the opponent have no chance at winning initative, and you having auto-win with Thrawn, they have a huge advantage, so far.

This may change, but so far, they are AMAZING.

I am undecided between Rebels (obviously) and... Republic! Most of the uncanny Fringe or Rebels in this set have greats possible uses alongside minis of both factions. I foresee the line between Republic and Rebel will become as blurred as the one between Rebel and New Republic already was (which is kind of fitting). Now that I think about it, most factions are getting mixed up in an interesting fashion; you can now field a six-factions squad!

Based on everything known so far, I think the Rebels are getting the most significant boost. The other factions do benefit, but overall many were better than the Rebels before (ie Imperial, Republic), but now they are catching up.

LOL, some of you picked Vong??? That's ridiculous.

They get no help in this set at all, even if you were to run up against a Luke and Yoda squad or any squad with a new force user, what's the big deal?

Vong won't win init unless a miracle happesn, so TB on the first turn is a wish.

That means they'll probably lose 1-2 pieces on the first turn where combat means anything, and what if they do win init? You think they'll hack down a piece with 150 HP with TB?

Not with all the disruptive out there now. Rebels and NR own them, Imps own them. Republic owns them.

Just because there are more Force Users now doesn't mean they have to use force against the Vong. Their Force Immunity is a joke compared to Ysalmiri.

Most of the decent Force Powers out there affect the controlling player's piece, so it can be used on Vong.

Force Repulse and Push aren't needed against them because you can simply walk up to the Vong and start beating on them with really no worry about dmg.

They all have 10 base and require init in order to boost that or Momemtun from WM, which shouldn't be played due to the point cost.

A huge swarm of Warriors at 200 might have a chance if you were able to run up against a squad of something with no init control and no disruptive, and how likely is that?

The two factions that got the most help are Rebels and Imperials. STs get advantageous cover? Really? who thought they needed that?

Rebels get 24 pieces, all of whom look useful so far and doesn't every single Republic piece have Affinity for Rebels? Doesn't Garm have Affinity for Rebels?

That's sick, they get like half of this set.

What's the deal with 4 Vong votes? Borg is right; they just got bumped down to the bottom of the list with OR. I suppose it's just L?sarcasm :)

All of this rebel and imo boosting leads me to believe the next couple of sets are going to be PT heavy enough to rebalance the game. Enjoy the new metas for the next few months....

Ugh...
I think that they're giving the Rebels TOO much of a boost in this set...they should have done it slowly and surely, but that didn't happen.

Oh, my poor Imperials. Juno and R2-3PO are going to ruin your many great commander effects.

Well rebels got a lot of help in FU, but they did in AaE as well. I have to sit on the fence a bit here because NR may have gotten the most help due to their current lack of support; it doesn't take much to drastically improve them.

True; it's -kind of- like saying that this Huge set is a vast improvement over the other ones, when in reality the other huge sets weren't very good.

Why?

I loved BH, and Universe wasn't half bad.
