The Star Wars Universe has always had its heroes and villains on the front lines. It has also always had its characters in the background, in the shadows. These are the individuals who walk the fine line between rebel and outlaw. It is this realm of the galaxy we will explore in the newest virtual set for the Star Wars Miniatures game, Renegades and Rogues. Covering characters who betrayed direct orders, to those who had no regard for the existing ruling government, and those who left behind all they knew to “go rogue,” this next set will bring pilots to the battlefield, and renegades will take every advantage they can get to win!


The next set is underway, and everything is going smoothly. However, just calling it Renegades and Rogues, or R&R, isn't always enough. It will be wonderful to once again have something very visually appealing to refer to, which is why, once again, we turn to our talented community members to rectify this for us. We are looking for something to advertise, once again, making the set name look great. So show us what you've got!

Well none of these are my own creations but i thought i would share some ideas nonetheless.

Since Renegades and Rogues has kind of an underworld theme, i thought that it would be cool to use the Black Sun emblem for the set icon. I know that these guys, being a criminal syndicate and all, pretty much crossed that fine rebel/outlaw line. But it still sort of fits the set theme.

Another idea i had was to have an X-Wing as the set icon for Renegades and Rogues. The set seems to have something big in store for the pilot characters, so this would fit pretty well. Also, with Rogue Squadron mainly fielding X-Wing fighters, that would make a nice reference to the set name.

I like the Sabaac cards but if this for a set logo I think it's got too much detail.

I think the Black Sun or Blazing Claw logo would be better used.

I'm quite sure this is for like overall announcement type stuff guys, not the Set Symbol. So, like the big Destiny of the Force images created last time with Jaina and the Mandos or stuff like that. Stuff that could be used on a poster.

@jonnyb - nice! It's eye-grabbing, has kind of a movie-poster vibe.

@abiwan - very cool image behind. Check your spelling though. :)

It's a vector graphic, and this one works on white or black.

Guys I am adding a symbol to the logo when I have time. I have figured out where it will go now. I am busy working on the Battle of theed logo and the online rpg. After that I plan on making a poster for Gencon. So if I never get to the symbol it is what it is.

I would recommend adding a silhouette to the 'D' in renegades and the 'O' similar to a '007' pose. Using a silhouette of a character considered a renegade and the other a rogue.
