Tell us which image you prefer for a badge reel image for Gencon players. If I misnamed one of these, I take no responsibility for it :)

Hey everyone!

Let me first say thanks to Bill for setting this poll up. It would have taken me longer than I would have liked just to figure out the basics.

Ok, for those of you who are just finding out about this, I plan on having some custom badge reels made for anyone who shows up to the SWM events at GENCON. The idea is that you can use these for a LOS tool, key chain, or anything you want. Here's the best part; they are going to be free!! Pretty cool huh? The reels will have an image put on them that will also be protected by a nifty plastic dome that goes over it. There will then be some lettering that goes around the image that will be something to the effect of, "GENCON 2011 SWM Nationals".

The images that are up for vote are just some that I had in mind. If any of you have suggestions, I am all ears. We are just trying to figure out if there is a particular image that everyone is leaning towards. This is something that I want to do for the community for all the support it has given this game and is my way of saying thanks and that you all rock!! You don't have to post here, you can PM with with any questions, comments, or ideas. As always, stay frosty marines!!

The Rebel one can't be right, and I would have preferred something easily recognizable to the less avid Star Wars fan, but the Sith Empire one is just freaking cool. The lightsaber(ish) symbol should make it easily identified by the casual observer too.

Don't worry about what they are called for now. Bill just put a name on it for identification purposes. But I'm glad to hear the feedback none the less. :D

First I have to say a big thanks to Ian for putting this together. I have know Ian for a couple of years and I can honestly say that he's one of the most generous guys I've ever met. I'm lucky to call him my friend. So when I heard he was going to do this, I wasn't surprised. This is classic Ian.

As far as the images go, I like the Sith one, but this is not the regular Sith logo. This one if from the Jedi Knight video game based on Kyle Katarn. See the JK in the lightsaber that goes up the middle of it. That is from the Jedi Knight logo.

Some of the other logos are not the official logos either. Maybe they are artist interpretations or something made up for RPG purposes. I would recommend going with the basic versions of the logos that are used on the cards. That way it is directly related to our game. Just an idea.

I think your wording is one point against it. Is it specifically the DotF logo? If so I'd be against it since its really no different that using any sets logo. It it (the DotF Logo) were a more general logo, I'd be a +1.

Sith, all the way. It looks awesome. One that I'd personally like to see, though, is the basic Rebel symbol. I'm not sure if that would be a copyright infringement though.

Ugh...that's tough. My love for the old school Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games forces me to pick the 'sith' choice though, lol. :P

The 'Phoenix' and 'Rebel' (I think that's actually an alternate Imperial logo, but whatever :P) are really good choices as well though. I think perhaps the one labelled phoenix might be very similar to the Legacy era NR logo.

It was a tough choice between the Sith and the Mando. In the end, I chose the Sith.
The Neo-Crusader looked good too. I noticed that the Neo-Crusader's image was rotating. That said, It would cool if the image chosen has a lenticular image.

i went with the NC COlor. Mostly because it is a newer twist on a popular and distinguishable symbol, by both star wars fans and other gamers. Even though it is slightly changed, it is still obviouse what it is.
