RIP Irvin Kershner

Apparently "The Empire Strikes Back" director passed away this morning. Empire was certainly my favorite of all the films (hardly a controversial opinion, I know), and I'm sure it will help him to be remembered for a long, long time.

TESB going into DVD player right now in honor of his work on that movie (he did many more, of course, but that is the one closest to my heart, obviously).

What sucks is he and Harrison were about the only ones who weren't slurping the Lucas-aid. And between the 2 Kershner seemed way more like-able. Too bad he didn't direct the rest of them.

Definitely a sad loss. I always have a tough time deciding if TESB is really my favorite (I'm partial to AOTC and ROTS as well), but it's definitely near the top of the pile. I can't watch the movie tonight, but perhaps I'll fire up the soundtrack here at work and imagine the scenes from the movie.

That's awesome. I didn't get a chance to watch ESB at all yesterday, but I did fire up the ESB soundtrack on my iPhone and slapped on my headphones as I went to sleep last night.

Hmm I guess you can tell what type of fan I am cuz when I saw the name I was like who is that?

These things always seem to happen in 2s or 3s.

Maybe he's up there making a movie with leslie nielsen.

A fien director, he did helmed many great projects but none will be remembered like ESB
