They say it's a Heroclix game so I'm guessing it's the same mechanix. You have a miniature atop the dial (which contains Health, Attack, Defense, Damage that changes as they take damage). There will probably be cards to grant descriptions of the special abilities. I am intrigued by the "digital" aspect, not familiar with that for Heroclix.

If it's set to come out towards Christmas this year I'm sure we'll see some sneaks within the next 4 months and then the official previews will likely start.

I know they're going to do some previews for the Web of Spider-Man set coming out in October, so it's possible they'll do a slideshow of this as well.

I've never been a huge fan of Star Trek, I've enjoyed it but I don't know any of the continuity stuff (which is why the new movie was perfect for me). It would be nice to get some pieces for customs or just to have a couple pieces...

If it's good, I might have found my next money-sucking obsession... :) Never played Clix before, but I'd be keen as a collector probably. Don't expect there to be a local playgroup, so the online function is also interesting.

I just can't play a clix game again.

The game is about first strike only. Hit your opponent, drive down their stats so they can not hit you back.

I sent the link to my wife, she summed up my thoughts with her statement: It's WizKids so it will probably suck. LOL

That will prolly be a clic in some future point if this game sells well, Picard Facepalm, activates on any critical miss and gives picard a free command action

They put martian manhunter on a pile of cookies, it is possible

Sounds interesting. For trekkies like me and Jeff, this will probably be something to look forward to previewing. The Star Trek franchise is vast and I thinks its about time they made a miniatures game for it. I'm not too thrilled about the Heroclix game mechanic since its just like Mechwarrior, so I'd much rather see a game like SW Minis. But hey, who knows..... maybe it will turn out good. :)

I really want to be excited about this news, but to be honest I don't like Clix. I tried playing it and I break EVERY model I try to turn the base on.

So I may just pick up a few of these for Role-Playing; I do plan on running a Star Trek RPG sometime in the future.
