I'm considering doing a Magic 2010 Limited or Booster Draft while at GenCon. (I tend to abandon MTG during the various blocks, but always seem to pick it up again for a short period of time when the new base set comes out.)

I've not done a MTG tournament in a zillion years and I don't remember where the basic lands come from, since they aren't in the individual boosters. So, do I need to bring my own basic lands or will Pastimes provide them at GenCon?

Thanks!

That's the play-mat you use under the cards, right? There's usually a TON of those play mats laying all around the various tables in the MTG area.

If you're talking about something else, I have absolutely no idea.

P.S. Sent you a PM a week or so back. Did you get it? Any SWM events going on next week (I'll be in Orlando for 5 days).

Aaron, lands are part of the game - they're a card type that are used to play other cards. :)

Angie the event organizer (which I don't know if that is Pastimes or not, I think it is) will provide lands for sealed. At least they are supposed to do so.

You might want to take the time to read up on what's happening over on the Magic site before you play, though. There are ALOT of rules changes coming with M10, especially to combat.
