Am I understanding the article correctly? It's not coming out any time soon, because the company went under (or Lucas pulled the project so the company went under)?

Yeah, I saw the vid last night and had to watch it like 3 different times for the idea of battlefront 3 to sink in lol. But if this game does ever materalize it will be all I play for the rest of my life, it looks soooooooo amazing its unreal.

Yeah, it looks it's been at least postponed for awhile. Found this on wiki:

On Jan 15th 2009 footage of a battlefront III game was leaked [7]. Aswell as the updated graphics, there seem to have been some welcomed changes from the fist two installments of the series, most notably the ability to fly from ground to space and board orbiting space craft with no loading screens. Unfortunately, the following day some more information was leaked regarding the titles departure from Free Radical and with it the loss of the "complete freedom" that the video showed [8]. Some information also came to light regarding a possible story line which involved a "Dark Obiwan Kenobi" [9]. No one knows if this storyline or the "complete freedom" style of play will continue with the title to its new developer, or even if the title is still in production. Lucasarts have, as yet, made no official announcement regarding this title.

OMG. That was the shakiest, grainiest most awesome thing I have seen in a long time. Let's take a moment and pray to the maker.

Oh wise one. Thou we are not worthy of this please help them finish this game. May their doors open to wheel barrels full of cash and may their glitches be few. May the release date be with you.
