Ryan, Matt and I are all in.

Can we vote on going to a more standard scoring system though? I know all three of us are pretty tired of the goofy one we've been using.

What now??

Oh, you're still ticked that Stafford can throw 800 passes for 300 yards, but miss 80% of them for a negative gain. I thought we corrected that so it wasn't as steep, but still a legitimate penalty.

I really need to sign in and look at it; it's automatic every renewal, so, aside from the various tweaks we've added to it over the years, I haven't looked at it completely since the beginning.

Invites sent.

Yeah, going over the scoring I think we've adjusted everything properly over the years. Yeah, there are penalties, which was one of the reasons I started a league-penalties should be counted. 1-100 yard pass for every 10 incompletions should not a good quarterback make.

Unless Jason meant something else Punt Returning has scoring, in fact, it has been getting a bonus for exceeding 50 yards.

It auto defaulted the draft to Aug 3, which seemed reasonable enough.

Let me know.

Brad what if we cut the defense to

2 lb
2 db
2 dl

Then keep offense as is and kick returners no bonus.
Just the plus 1 for every 25 yds
That should keep it more inline with what bill wantS with out taking away the def players all together.

I am fine with the scoring from last year but did think the extra scoring making every game over 200+ was a little much.

Really am fine with whatever we do scoring is scoring.

The one thing I would like to see is go away from
Waivers and do more of a auction based system.

Where you get 200 dollars for the reg season and have zero dollar bids. People blind bid on who they want each week but can bid zero if they want.

Also limit transactions to 5
a week( the Jonny rule lol)

Having played the position of QB, I completely disagree.

But from a competitive fantasy perspective, it makes QBs completely unpredictable week to week. It also makes it so game outcomes are random, rather than determined by skill.

I'm not the only one who has noticed this.

I think it makes certain QB's swingy for sure; I wouldn't say it's completely unpredictable, but it looks like we bumped it down significantly last year or the year before(-.2, if I remember correctly, at one point it was -.5). It should take away most negative scores unless they throw badly for a quarter and don't play again obviously. Though I'd be willing to go 1-1 on completions/incompletions, as currently it's +.1 and -.2

Fantasy Football is unpredictable; I never score the predicted points and often times it's well above or well below--for individual players anyway; the team scores are usually consistent.

I'm not sure Yahoo does this--I've never seen anything but waiver options. I'll look into it more closely.

Since we do 6 pt td I think it's fair how it is.

So the past few years I thought we had a little too much money for Auction, what do you guys think?
What about going to 250 or 265(I think this is hits the spot)

Would anyone be up for doing a Google Hangout during the draft since there is a lot of down time.

TBH, I don't remember without looking it up. It should default to the value from last year, which was 250 or 300.

300 but we had two extra teams. The year before we did 250(had 10 teams) and it worked out pretty good but yahoo was able to rebalance our extra 250 to their default I don't think they will be doing that this year from the few mocks I have done. Ray bid like 80 on Brees and some other crazy number. Which offset the draft but over it worked out well. Maybe that was the year before.

@brad Are we staying at 24 moves during the season even playoffs or going to at 3-6 moves per week(which can be done via yahoo.

Last year most people made around 40 moves give or take. I made 180.The year before that it was more in the 60-75 range and I made 200+. I think the overall fair number is 5-6 moves a week. It puts a limit on the roster moves but keeps it balanced for all.

Just a note everyone in our league made more than 24 moves last year other than the bye team that had a full roster each week or tried to win each week. A big part of Fantasy football is making moves during the season and playing the match ups. Yes I take it a little too far but overall 24 is pretty limiting with the limited bench we have as it is from my point of view. That is just my take and would like to hear others point of view on the topic.

Thanks
Jonny

No, I need to change the move thing. I just haven't signed on for a while on that account. I need to, as I am gone all next week leading up to the draft and you cant change it after.

I know your out of town all week but is there anyway Sunday before the draft you could change the Waiver budget to 150 or 200 if you think it needs more and make sure its set to Zero bids.

The big one is Zero bids so it plays out like Waivers but you can bid on players if you don't think a zero bid will do the trick.

I also made a poll a bonus points.

Thanks for putting all of this together Brad.
