I won map so we played on Ravaged Base, with JM choosing the left side for setup. We both got gambit first round. I killed an Ug in the beginning of the 2nd round, and then in the end of the 3rd round I towed Mace and based 2 SCs, rolling no crits. I then survived a hail of blaster fire to start the next round and still rolled no crits, and took a bunch more damage due to some insane dice for JM. I was down to 30 hp (3fp) with Mace to start the following round, and JM went first, rolling just 1 hit with his SC...I made the Reflect, and killed 1 SC and towed Mace to the safety of Figrin and the Evil Dr, who soon healed him up to 60. JM made a good move to grenade my group of 4, and everyone failed their saves (Mace made the fprr though). JM then swapped in Weir to move adjacent to Mace (and Figrin), hoping for some decent dice (12s), but got only 1 hit. The next round, a SC attacks Mace but without Twin (because Weir was Distracted), and misses both shots. Mace, who has now seen his life pass before his eyes twice, kills Weir and gets towed away to the surgery room, while GOWK does most of the cleanup. Mace surviving vs the SC and then vs Weir was huge, because it spelled Weir's death and therefore neutered the SCs. Mace scored no crits until the very end, and JM couldn't hit Mace when he needed to...had either of those things been different, the game would've swung heavily in either direction. Good game, Jedi_Master!
