For once, Delaware will be having a regional!

Location:
Our Game Table
1030 Forrest Avenue Suite 118
Dover DE 19904
(302) 735-1859

Date: June 23

Time: Registration 11-12 PM
Tournament 12-6 PM

Entry Fee: To Be Determined ($10)

Prizes: 1-8th place will receive a special Star Wars Miniature Booster Pack containing 1 V-Set Custom
Each custom will be of a desirable, competitive V-set piece that needs a custom (so no Bastila Shan JM or Mace Windu LotLS).
1-3 PROMO V-set cards for each participant, depending on
attendance.
Prizes provided by store (some singles)
Sorry, no GenCon Badge.

Admittedly, this was a bit thrown together late (planning began early May), but so far its been well-received and the event looks to be well-attended.

It looks good and I'll likely be there next year, but I'm already booked for that weekend this year. I hope you all have a blast!

Can't you relocate the camping trip to DE? I'm sure DE has some woods. You could pretend it's Endor :D

We'll pretend it's Endor anyway!

Sadly no, I can't relocate the trip. I hope you guys have a blast. And I love the idea of Vset boosters! Very classy.

Apparently I'm going to be moving next summer, so if there's going to be a Delaware regional next year, someone else will have to carry the torch.

UPDATE: We have more prize support incoming (thanks to UrbanJedi) and I'll be making a trophy miniature for 1st place. I'm also well on the trail of the rogue SWM players in Delaware that I've been trying to find for a while; they'd probably want to play, but I do know they are unaware of the V-sets.

Someone beat you to it. ;)

But, if you do, you'd be only the third person ever in history to do it. Unless you count someone doing it two years in a row, then it would be the forth time in history it's ever happened.

And if you do it, then we may have to have another ultimate regional champion championship.

Hink getting the natural hat-trick with Homicidal Mace would indeed be an Epic result! He's called his shot out. Now it's up to his competition to respond, to bad I can't make it I'd like to give Windu some payback. ;)

Well, I know you're one of the 3. Who are the other 2?

I did it this year and last year. Graham B from Atlanta did it last year. Since we were the only 2 with 3 wins that year (in fact at that time we were the only 2 to have three or more regional wins total ever, much less all in the same year), so we had an Ultimate Regional Champion Championship at GenCon. We played the Utinni format. It was actually a blast. Graham even made an awesome plaque complete with "Utinni" cards from the star wars CCG.

Lifetime Regional wins:
Tim B - 8
Graham B - 5
Jason K - 4
Deri M - 2
James W - 2
Josh H - 2
David W - 2
James N - 2
Ian G - 2
Ben J - 2

'Tis true, every word of it. Except Graham and I decided on Utinni.

We only had 4 people to play  and I'll post a quick report when I'm at a computer but me and my Mace squad went 3-0 with all 3 points wins.

Props to Lefties for awesome custom prizes.

I'm not sure, I completely forgot to ask Lefties, oops.

My play report

Homicidal Mace part Deux

Mace Lotls
GOWK
Lobot
Foul
Shieldbearer
R2
Uggie
Map: Peaceful City

First round vesus Flying Arrow (TJ) with Revan, Atton, Maul, and Exar DFS
I brought in Dr. E and a Gran
I won map and went in gambit, he swapped Maul into gambit first round. Second round Mace went after Maul an put 80 on him with 1 crit. Mace then absorbed Maul's rage, but TJ did a smart move of putting Wicket within 6 of Mace, but 7 away from Maul, so he only need 6s to hit so he put some damage on Mace. I then took Maul out via homicidal surgery and used GOWK as a shield against Atton. Next round Mace took out Atton before succumbing to Revan. At the end of the game I had GOWK, R2 and Lobot and he had Revan. Revan got a crit for 50 on GOWK, who rolled 2 consecutive 1s for soresu, ouch. So GOWK is at 80 damage and Revan was at 100 dmg, thus, I used my door control advantage, but then miscounted squares after a few rounds and Revan was able to base GOWK. Thankfully GOWK made his soresu saves and used force push for the win.

3 points.

Second round vesus LeftiesWillRule (Stephen) and Thon with Bastila, Atton, Greedo, and a really sweet Soldier custom
I brought in Ponda and a noble

He won map and we played on ravaged base. All the action took place in the rooms on the map near the 2 lifts. He brought in Atton and took shots at Foul, hit once and Foul used defense. I then we to set up Ponda with the intent of attack next round, he then ran Thon in with a mounted soldier and took out Ponda. So Foul used leap and place Mace adjacent to Atton and Thon. Mace put 60 on Atton. Next round I win init, Mace kills Atton, puts 20 on the Soldier (who I thought only had 20, oops), then uses his last attack on Thon, Mace crits, absorbs the defense, crits on the flurry and absorbs the next defense to, and then does 20 more damage. So, 140 damage total on Thon. He then brought in his Ponda to bodyguard but at that point the game was basically over (although he did stick Mace once with Greedo, grrr). Mace and company went through his guys the next couple rounds and got me my next 3 point win.

Third round versus EmtJoe (Joe) with Bastila, Atton, Cad, and a Battlemaster.
I brought in Ponda and a noble again.

He won map and we played on Cantina. I set up in the atrium, went into gambit, placed Mace in front with the shieldbearer and ponda behind him and locked the single square door. Eventually Joe destroyed the door and tried to shoot Mace with Atton, who hit with a 19, but failed his save so he ate 40 damage. So then brought in the battlemaster. I used Foul to take Mace against Cad, Atton, and a Gamorrean BG. I rerolled the first attack on the BG and finally got the crit I wanted, I then went after Cad and Mace got a crit again on the third attack, taking Cad out and putting 20 more damage on Atton with a flurry. Again, at this point the game was basically over. Atton was unable to hit Mace and next round he died and shortly after so did the battlemaster. I took Lobot and a mouse droid out via the Shieldbearers Atal for funsies and Mace and GOWK went after Bastila. 3 point win.

So I went undefeated for the day with all 3 point wins and won a super awesome custom Salacious Crumb. Stephen's customs are top notch and I highly appreciate his work. Excellent job Stephen. And it was nice to meet a new player (TJ) and the store was gracious enough to let each of us have a mini from their stock so I got a Kota. So, while it was a bummer that we only had 4 players, it was still a fun day, and any day where I get to play, get some new minis and meet some new people is a good day in my book.

Thx Audri.

And Jak, it is what is is. Maybe next year, assuming you and Lefties are willing and able to run a regional, we can schedule them earlier. I highly, highly appreciate you guys for running them and setting them up so quickly though. You both did a great job on such a short notice, but like I said, hopefully they can be earlier next year and we can at least get a strong PA presence.

Sounds like you got some big crits when you needed them in every game. Which is the reason I don't play mace cause it just seems like you live and die by the crit. I've played mace 1 time and in one of those games mace was failing to hit anything. I was playing only for 60 but mace couldn't even hit needing 3's and 4's that's including rerolls.
The one play report where atton hit with a 19 but then failed his shieldbearer save, did he reroll that or did he fail both or did he use it to move up further. It seems like with a 40 damage hit you would want to reroll that save.
