I think allowing players to hold off submitting squads & all up to the last hour could cause problems. Especially with this many players. |

most the time at regionals or gencon we dont even get done with the squads till the mid of the first rounds. There are times we have gone over all the squads before the tournament but thats rare. I think it will be fine for squads.Most the time when we do vassal tournaments people just show up right before and its annoying. An hour before is more than enough times. What time are you guys thinking about? If this was just for US players I would go with 11 am but whats a good time for people around the world. Is starting earlier better or later I dont have a clue. |

So. I'm keen to rally as many of the Kiwi-SWM-folk as I can and so I need to take them some details so I can bring you some details and so on and so forth... I'm picking that we'll have some representation in this, but it will depend on who's keen, what times etc, and all that good stuff. We have a bunch of Vassal-able folk and already several have expressed an interest in finding out more. 11am on Saturday the 14th would be 4am on the 15th for us. Not an impossible task, but it will be fun to try and organise it! The cool thing is it is a Sunday so we'll have recovery time etc... or can even play and then go to church. BAHA! So, games are 75 minutes? 4-5 rounds? Would we need to pay? Is this the best place for info? As soon as you have any info, I'll hand it on to the crew, and I'll bring any info/questions back from them to here. Even though I haven't sought permission from the family, I'm (95% sure that I'm) there! Tino pai! |

Actually, my time estimations were based on Chicago time... I don't know what time you guys are using there! We only have two times zones here - New Zealand Time Zone and whatever my wife thinks the time is. (I pretty much always follow the second one). |

central time zone(Chicago) Cost Free I am thinking 70 min rounds with skype. Might go to the straight 60 but right now I am thinking 70. Ill post the round times when I really know for sure. |

Maybe we should start it earlier for the sake of the kiwis. Nobody has to leave their home, travel time is moot. We could start at like 9am central so it's not quite so insanely late for them. Us in the US could then be done and have our afternoon and evening free. |

or is a later start time better? that would mean westcoast and AU would not have to be up so early. Yes I know Tim that would mean you cant play just think moving it to a later time makes more sense for more people than moving it to a earlier start. Maybe I am wrong. |

Later is actually better. If you went to 9am for you guys, it would be 2am for us... while if you went 2 hours later, to 1pm, we'd have a 6am start. Refer below: 9am Saturday for you, 2am Sunday for us 10am for you, 3am for us 11am you, 4am us midday you, 5am us 1pm, 6am 2pm, 7am 3pm, 8am etc. And just an extra for my Australian brothers, 11am for you is 2am for Tasmania (looking at you, Sashlon!). Let the math begin. |
