Yes they seem to enjoy extremely early starts in Kokomo. I've tried to convince them otherwise for years to no avail.

I think they want any advantage they can get over those of us who are traveling in that morning, especially those of us losing an hour due to the time switch. ;)

That would apply to us I suppose. At least it's not too long of a drive to get there. Looks like we've probably got 4 coming from Danville.

Well I would say their plan isnt working then.
You beat me in the finals last year and you won it before that as well.

I think 9 am is early and causes us to wake up earlier than we should need too and maybe they are secretly trying to get an advantage over you but can you blame them, and even if they were planning that then they need a new plan because it simply failed last year when we walked right in and took 1st and 2nd and then did the same thing in Wisconsin.

Graham and I are leaving tomorrow morning and picking up Bronson in Tennessee on the way up. We should be there in time for the Tile Wars tournament tomorrow night.

We like to start early so we can drink more margaritas during lunch.

I'm going to be really disappointed if I get there and this isn't actually something that happens.

I hope you like Mexican :D

On that note: Oh crap, it's tomorrow!

I haven't made any arrangements, nor built any squads.

Due to my wife washing my phone, I have lost all the kokomo/lafayette numbers (Giles may be back in?).

Late notice Les, but would I be good for the usual?

Everyone be careful travelling. Also, plan on a giant swimming pool of a margarita if you like them. Think of the early start as a perk so when you get home you will actually be home earlier haha. Jake is right, if the early start were meant as an advantage it has not worked in the least haha. Hopefully we have about 10-12 for tile wars and should have 20+ for the regional...cannot wait!

LOL, I do think its an advantage especially if I have a margarita since that will just make me more tired or crazy reckless. Oh well I think I got a squad ready and should be good to go.

LOOKS LIKE I WON'T BE GOING AFTER ALL!

I just hung up with my wife over this and kind of drained the fun. Nothing major, I was just fed up with her countering every thing I said. Basically, up until a week ago I was pretty sure I was going, then realized how quickly it snuck up on me. She had also double booked the weekend to go dress shopping for her friend's wedding. She had also taken the moment of uncertainty as a statement that I wasn't going, even though I told her that I had confirmed arrangements with Les...

Not that anything can't get arranged for the kids this late, I just don't want to hear it. We're all married, we all know how it is when you say something she didn't say and you're wrong, but the minute she says something you didn't say...you're still wrong :D :D :D :D

I'm sure tonight when I'm acting like a baby (and I will :D ) pouting, she'll try to say something else and tell me to go, but really, at that point (due to the time difference) I'm really just doing it to be an ass, as I'll be over it by then.

She's usually a lot better about this, I don't know what her deal has been. I've missed all the regionals for one reason or another this year, this one should have been solid. Maybe she isn't thinking about how many I've had to miss, how little I've played, and that this is the last one of the area.

Brad, really wish you were coming it was a lot of fun last night at Tile Wars and today will be a blast. I say c'mon last second if you can get a sitter and you could head back after the swiss (unless you are in top 4) and get back early.

A lot of fun with the first event: Friday night's Tile Wars regional. 11 players with 4 from NY, 2 from ATL, 1 from Tennessee, 2 from Kokomo, 1 from Lafayette, and 1 from Greenwood. It ultimately was won by Bryan Hole after winning against me in the last round with his too much to handle Sith squad. It had Kun Spirit, Revan, Kaan, couple mice, Sidious Holo, and Zannah. The tiles are so compact he could lead the spirit in first after using Dark Aura and then get off the bomb making people need a 15 save for 80 dmg. In our game he managed to get off the Bomb and I only saved the 15 on my Cpt. and 1 scout which then had 40 dmg. and had to face Revan and Zannah on a limited space...no dice.

It was my only loss after a bye and a win against Les and Graham (who could not make 6's on Fire Support Mission...man 'o man haha). I played Mandalorians with deathshots: Mereel, Cpt., 3 scouts, Quartermaster, mouse, Cassus (fire support mission and never tell me the odds), and could bring in 30 pts. reinforcements (always used another scout and the mando with 30 hp cloaked and 11 points. I figured they'd be good in TW, especially against death shot pilots, troopers, etc. My highlight was against Graham as mentioned as he had a line of pilots and I Fire Supported right in the middle of them killing 3 of them and putting 60 dmg on Dash...the dice really killed him as he needed only 6's.

Good luck, everyone! I had wanted to go but this is smack dab in the middle of the busy season for my work so it's more difficult for me to get Saturdays off =o(
