Well, here is the synopsis and pictures of this year's newest Mass Battle event to be ran at Gencon. I hope many of you get tickets and can play in it. It is going to be amazing!

***********************************************************
In the year 3800 BBY, the battle between the Old Republic and the Sith rages on as it has for centuries. However, the tide is beginning to change. The leader of the Mandalorians, Mandalore the Retaliator, has been betrayed by the Sith for far too long, and has vowed that he would support the Republic in hopes of bringing an end to the war. Many Mandalorians do not agree with his working alongside the Jedi, their enemies for so long, and have instead decided to stay with the Sith. These are led by one who has claimed his own title of Mandalore the Pure. This has caused division between the Mandalorians, with sects of the warriors fighting on both sides of the conflict.

Over the desert world of Tatooine, a shuttle was waiting in orbit to rendezvous with a Republic Cruiser, with the Jedi pilot having information of a secret Sith base constructed very close to Coruscant. The Sith learned of the meeting, however, in time to contact many bounty hunters in the area. A battle ensued, and the ship was damaged, being forced to crash land in the middle of the desert. However, to his benefit, he went down in the middle of a severe sandstorm, so tracking him was impossible. He used all of his training, and remaining strength, to make it to the nearby settlement of Anchorhead. It is here that he has hidden out, waiting for extraction.

Once the Republic showed up, they were “warmly greeted” by a Sith fleet, and barely managed to escape and return with reinforcements. During the intense space battle, both sides managed to send troops to the planet’s surface. Once again, the sandstorms have made things very difficult, restricting vision and communications with the fleet. This is where the battle begins . . .

8 players per team, so 16 altogether. And the coolest part is, I have not put in the "extras" yet, all of the innocent bystanders and citizens who will be involved in the scenario as well. I'm so excited to run this!

wow!

yups, thats lot.

A suggestion if you haven't got it already; label the miniatures! (ie team 1 = blue, etc) those little dot stickers can come in handy. It could get quite confusing for players try to figure out which piece is on which team.

Another option would be to create custom/repaints of C/UC pieces as necessary to make them stand out from each other. Could utilize the Mando Captain and Trooper promos as well.
