I just saw this thread now (I'm away at camp), but I can't understand how any of these changes would've given Team Canada the win? TEAM CANADA WILL WIN NO MATTER WHAT!!!! :P

Seriously though, I really like the proposed changes and I also think it's wise to hold them until 2012.

The TT is absolutely one of my favorite events, so I'm looking forward to it big time. See y'all soon!

Team Canada? Team America? I don't know what you guys are talking about. You might not have heard, but there will be 2 full Atlanta teams there this year. Maybe you guys can play off for 3rd place or something.

Look at the late comers trying to enter into a rivalry. I'm sorry, much like the MSU-Penn State game, it's never going to equal the rivalries of old. Now, if you want to take on Team Elite, well that's a different story. Perhaps if we set it up so both of your teams could play us at once, you might have a chance. 2v1, I'd still vote for Team Elite.

I don't remember that being an issue last year for us :)

Oh, we don't care to have any part in any rivalries. Team Canada and Team America can still be the big rivals, that's cool. There's plenty of rivalries in which neither team involved wins it all.

How did team Atlanta do in last years' team event? Two Men and Dan finished 2nd (Me, Tony Mullins, and Jordan). Was there even a Team America? Will there be any prize for 2nd or is there not typically one? Enquiring minds...

These rule changes will be really awesome when they go into effect. I don't mind waiting a year.

Not quite sure I agree that it will be "just another" 200 point tournament, either. A big part of the team tourney is building the team to try and guarantee autowins while hopefully not offering up too many yourselves. Yeah, you could just have all three people play Solo Charge, but no one actually does that, and God forbid you run against the team playing all Yuuzhan Vong.

Last year the Atlanta team went 1-2 or 2-2 I think. Daniel kept on getting godawful matchups (like playing against double lancer with Jedi Hunter swarm) and I lost a game (and therefore the match) when Lord Vader missed like 7 attacks against Commando Luke. Weeks' team put up a much stronger showing, to our chagrin.

I was going for current and former military but was shy one, so we added state and federal positions as well.

Brad Phillips
Ben Guins
Eric Larson

Where is whatever team I am on placing again? Bill, what is our team name? I don't know if I am elite enough to be team elitist.

You've had how many chances to win?

Meh, chances, smanches. Sometimes all it takes is the dedication to wanting to win to make the difference. After all, if we didn't let others win it the first two years, everyone else would quit trying. This way, you all still think you have a chance :)

Plus TE has a ringer this year :)

I already know who's gonna win Team, and their names haven't been mentioned yet. So you'll all be duking it out for scraps after this team cleans house.
