Well, it may be a little early, but oh well. I'm starting it!

So, is anyone needing roommates this year? Does anyone have great insider deals on hotel rates? What about wanting to carpool from a certain area to save on those outrageous gas prices that are predicted for August? Well, get on it!

Use this forum to contact others and possibly save lots of money!

I have yet to decide if I'm going to GenCon or not (money's tight), but if I do, I'd like to catch a ride with someone. Depending on my job situation at the time, I'll either be in Lexington Park, MD or Germantown, MD.

It looks like our crew may have an extra room.

It's like $900 total for Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sat nights, 2 full beds. If you go 4 guys to the room it's only like $55 a night per guy. Actually quite a steal.

It's one of the 2 hotels connected to the convention center - so it's an unparalleled luxury.

PM me if you are interested

So, unexpectedly, it looks like I'll be able to make it to Gencon this year! I'm looking for people in the area to carpool with, and would obviously share gas money with them. Let me know!

Still have an extra room. We're going to cancel the reservation soon if nobody wants it.

I am still a bit shocked someone hasn't pounced on it. This will be year 5 for me at GenCon, and every year these rooms sell out so fast we could never get one. It was always the unattainable dream, and we just watched with jealousy as others waltzed in and out of the convention center to there room without even setting foot outside.

I would have begged, stolen and killed for one of these rooms. I thought I was going to be doing some group a serious solid for scooping up an extra one for the SWM community.

The room is about what we've payed for rooms not nearly as nice and much further away. I still hope we can hook someone from our community up, but if not - then we'll cancel it, and some lowly magic playing goons will probably infest it.

So I've exhausted all other outlets for trying to get a fourth roommate, but after trying to contact a bunch of different people, no takers.

I've got a room at the Quality Inn South on South Harding Street. It's got 2 Queen Beds, and we've got 3 people in the room (myself, Ted Peck, and Ian Gordon). With a fourth roommate, the room will only cost us ~$15 each/night. That's *incredibly* cheap, and from the reviews I've read, the place is pretty good.

So, anyone interested can PM me.
