Hello all. My name is Bill (although I will answer to Tal). I'm a huge Star Wars fan and I've been collecting SWMs for several years now, after being introduced to it through a demo at a convention. I say collect, since I've only actually played about a dozen times, between the anual convention and winning my "local" (the only one in the state) Bounty Hunter Release Tournament.
I do do some custom minis but they are few and far inbetween.

And if you need a clue on what level of geekdom I'm at, I also happen to be a member of the Mandalorian Mercs Costuming Club. http://www.mandalorianmercs.com

Hahaha, right on there, Fool!

Su'cuy, ner vod!

I'm usually associated as being the resident Mando nut around here, lol. But more are always welcome! I don't have a Mando costume at the moment (have random parts for a kit that have sat for 2 years not getting worked on, lol) but my pride and joy is my Republic Commando Fi armor. So, I'm right there with ya.

Are you near any of the other 'Mercs? I know a few of them like A'den, Novall Talon, a few of the Arizona group.

Anyways, great to have you here! If you update your profile with your location, we might be able to help you track down other local players so you'll get a chance to actually play a bit more often. It's a fun game, and I'm SO glad I got into it.

Oya Manda!

Commando armor is awsome. I myself, am working on a set on and off. But since I'm making it out of cardboard, it will take a while. (just to prove that it can be done  )

I'm not actually near many other mercs, the there is only one other official member in the state. athough I do look forward to meeting many, including Novall, at Dragon Con in September.

I would like to play more often, but the simple fact is, I live in Maine. And in in a spot where its a good two hours away from anything. The closest store that even carries SWM is 30-45 minutes away and they don't even host games there (in fact I think I just about the only one who buys them)

Ah a fellow Mando lover with no LGS. I can relate to that!

Welcome to the site.

Have you tried or heard of a website called Vassal? It allows you to play minis online for free and is where a bunch of us here get a chance to finally play.

Fool as a bunch of setup articles on the main page that help you get started.

Su'cuy ner vod. always a pleasure to meet a fellow mando. :jango:

i had a problem like yours a few times (i tend to move outta state alot..lol) i found thta if you can demo the game at a local comic shop like on free comic day, you might could generate some players that way.

hope that helps.
