I've been lurking here for a while now...figured I'd go ahead and speak up. I was first introduced to the SWM game by my son Anthony (who just turned 11 earlier this week!). I don't really recall what got him started, but after bringing him to our LGS for SWM tourneys a few times where I met Jim Fraser (who runs many of our events), the two of them finally wore me down until I decided to try it out. Of course I got hooked quickly. I think the first booster I bought for myself was Legacy, and that was not too long before KOTOR came along, so I guess I've been at it about a year now give or take...
When I am able to attend tourneys at the LGS, I usually have the pleasure (and/or misfortune) of playing against Luke_Skywalker, which so far has been quite educational. Anyway - it's a great game, and this community is a wealth of info.
Looking forward to trying a Vassal tourney one of these days, if I ever figure it out.
