Congrats to James (jediinexile--you may know him better for his amazing customs but he's a strong player too) who won it with this pretty brilliant squad: --CA Regional 2010 Winner-- 51 Yoda on Kybuck 35 Anakin Skywalker on STAP 33 Captain Rex 24 Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Trainer 23 Captain Panaka 9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid 8 Mas Amedda 5 Caamasi Noble 3 Rodian Brute 9 Ugnaught Demolitionist x3 (200pts. 12 activations) It smoked me badly, my only loss with this squad: --CA Regional 3rd Place Squad-- 51 Yoda on Kybuck 47 General Skywalker 28 Dash Rendar, Renegade Smuggler 24 Commander Ahsoka 23 Captain Panaka 9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid 8 Mas Amedda 4 Gran Raider 3 Rodian Brute 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist (200pts. 10 activations) Jeff finished second, also only losing to James, running Jason Keirnan's Sid/GGDAC, double Lancer squad. Ryan's 4th place squad he mentioned on Bloo: --all for you Rex-- 62 Emperor Palpatine, Sith Lord 33 Captain Rex 32 Thrawn (Mitth'raw'nuruodo) 27 Lobot 22 Imperial Governor Tarkin 11 Admiral Ozzel 8 Mas Amedda 5 Imperial Dignitary Preferred Reinforcements: (Lobot) 8 R7 Astromech Droid (Lobot) 3 Mouse Droid (Lobot) 6 Rodian Brute x2 (Lobot) 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist Preferred Reserves: (Admiral Ozzel) 10 Imperial Dignitary x2 (Admiral Ozzel) 10 Raxus Prime Trooper x2 (200pts. 13 activations) Mel was 5th playing Deri's Mara/Han/Ganner/AniSolo squad. Overall, the tourney was great fun, and the store was a nice environment. It was cool to get to play James again after narrowly beating him at last year's regional, fun to meet and play Greg (Hye Jedi who set everything up this year) and a pleasure to finally get to play Mel (and we finished our game in the hour! ) after 4 years of competing in the same major tourneys and never getting matched up. |

Congrats! Nice twist on the Yobuck squad type. How many players did you have total? |

Alas, our turnout was down pretty badly, and couple bailed at the last minute so we ended up with only 11. 5 from bay area, 2 from Reno NV, 1 from SoCal and 4 from Sacramento. Last year I think we had more Sacto players than that travel to the bay area, but their group has been hit pretty hard by the game going out of production. |
